Cooling Water cooling bits advice plz

Ok im looking to go water cooled and ive got a small list of some parts that im thinking of getting.

1/Black ice Prime rad
2/Emeim 1048 pump
3/Swiftech Mcw462-u water block

All above will be 3/8 im not sure about the hose yet,whats better pvc or Surgical grade tubing????

I would like to water cool my gf3 but dont know what block to get,also im thinking of getting a res for the water,does this get rid of air in the system?
All the bits will be inside the pooter maybe not the res ive seen this one from here

My case is the yy [b0rg] servers case so size is no probs,ive seen a lot of good stuff from germany but its a lot of hassle to get it.

nice setup for a beginner....u could save some money if u wanted and go with a heatercore.......a resivor will bleed air if it is the highest point in the watercooling loop....the productin in ur link are made to be air traps (resivors that bleed air automaticly)...all u have to do is make sure the top of that tube is above ur radiator, pump, and block....good luck...any other questions just ask

 

Thx Haddy m8,the res should be above the rad coz im fitting it where the 80mm fans are at the back of the case ill need to cut it into 120mm for the rad so it will be as high as poss,what about the hose im not sure what to get also need a good cooler for my gr3 do you know anyware in the uk that sells them.

 

dunno any uk gf3 block dealers.....im sure some uk wc stores that sell danger den stuff have some of their gf2-3 blocks....

 

As far as tubing is concerned..Tygon R-3603 (and yes *mat-ster* we know you said it first )..not sure which wc stores in the UK sell them though That should be a real nice setup when your done...we want pics!

It included the barbs for inline use..have you decided where everything will be placed in the case?

 

Yeh ive sorted most of it out..

1/Rad,im going to cut out a 120mm hole at the top back right hand side where the 2 80mm fans are and mount the rad inside with a 120mm fan blowing out not sure what fan as of yet.[mite get 2 120mm one blowing and one sucking]

2/ Going to mount the pump on the mo-bo side just infront of the 120mm intake fan.[or just above the fan itself on its side]

3/Not found a gf3 cooler as of yet .[mite not do it]

4/Ive been told that techheads are getting the maze 3 in soon,mite wait for that if its 3/8 fitting.

5/The reservoir will be at the back of the case near the rad not sure what side yet ill need to get the rad first,i do know that the top of the res has to be higher than the rad to bleed air out.

Looks well planned out..good luck! I moved my PS to the top of the case and have my pump under it. The "hole" where the PS used to be is where all the tubes come in-out. The rad i mounted outside under the PS with a 120mm blowing out. I think if i did it again i would put the res on the motherboard side, up front. But theres so many possibilities with the case..

I sent him a 2nd email but he never replied..so i gave up I think i'm just gonna get the new dd res...its part of my master plan anyways

 

That dd res is so nice,but its out of stock and its in the usa

 

yea give dd time....theyll build up stock and send it out to everyone who sells their stuff *if they want it*.....dd will ship internationaly too
