    hi,

    i have just set up a new computer and i think i might have a problem with
    the temp of the cpu, or mbm is telling me a load of poop! :eeek:

    mother board=chaintech 7njs ultra 400 n/force 2
    cpu=amd 2800 barton(166 fsb)@200x11=xp3200
    2xcorsair 512meg(1 gig) 3200LL
    radion 9700(non pro) no overclock....yet
    2x 120 gig maxtor d/max 9
    120 mm rad(2x120mm fans)
    danger den maze 4 cpu block
    danger den "z" chipset block
    danger den maze 4 gpu block
    half inch tygon hose all round
    hidor L30 pump
    480 watt eps12v psu
    artic silver 5 on all blocks

    my temps at idle are 41c-46c and full load can go as high as 50c, this to me is WAY to high :jawdrop: i have heared that the barton cores run hot but given the flow rate of this set up this looks to high to me. :waah:
    any thoughts....................................

    thanks

    Deepends on where its getting those temps, I have a gigabyte motherboard, with 2 different temps monitors for the cpu, one is the diode inside the processor itself, and a temp probe thats seprate. Also, don't always trust the built in sensors, they are not always very accurate.
