Hi guys, i have been wanting to get into watercooling for a long while, but have not been able to afford to do it. until now. i am exited to say i have just got my "penny pot" changed up in to notes, and i have £255.00!!! (yeah it was heavy!)

I would like to know what is the best watercooling kit i could get for this money (i cant go over this price so it must be inclusive of delivery in the uk)

so your mission should you choose to accept it is to spec me the best watercooling system for the above money, i am a new to watercooling so i was looking at kits.. but if you have a better idea let me know. also dont feel you have to spend all the money for the sake of it, cos i can always do other upgrades like graphics etc.

my CPU is a 2500xp (which runs at 50 degrees centigrade idle?! even with various airflow mods :dremel: , this is why i need some more extreme cooling)

i have an epox 8RDA, (Mounting Holes everywhere :naughty: )

also a peltier sounds fun to play with?! will id like to use one but as i say i am new to watercooling, will this be too complicated?!

I have decent ram etc, so i should be able to get some good overclocks with some better cooling!

I think its prob best for me to cool my CPU and maybe my graphics card (G4 440 MX - i know.. kill me... but it will be updated at some point so i might need cooling) my North and southbridge have zalman copper sinks, with 40mm fans no top, so they hardly get hot at all, i dont think there is a need to include this in the loop.

If it makes any difference, i have a Full tower Case, 2x HDDs, Audigy 2 card, a 550w qtec psu, umn ask if i have forgot anything else usefull.

I look forward to hearing your replies, i cant wait to play with water cooling!!!!

Thanx for you time! you guys

hmm - don't think there's much point in watercooling an MX , and when you upgrade you might well run into compatability probs with the block - so i guess the question is do you really want to spend it all on w/c gear, or save some towards a better gfx card... (that must have been some jar...)
what full tower do you have? (that'll help with rad selection etc.) is noise more important or performance?

    Thank you for your reply!

The full tower is just a generic one, from before cases were cool! its nice and big tho, 6 external CD bays + 2 external floppy bays.

yeah maybe some budget could be kept and put towards a graphics card?!

im not worried about having a completely silent for me performance is what im after, not silence, but please dont make it sound like a hovercraft!

    Ill check up that website.

    Cheers mate.

    Mor replies/ oppinions please!

    Thanx

Right heres what I got and what I am going to do :)

    I got a

    • Ehiem 1250 pump
    • DD Maze4 CPU
    • DD Maze4 GPU
    • DD Clearflex tubing
    • DD Cyl Res
    • ThermoChill 120.1 Rad
    • YS Tech 120mm and Antec 120mm LED fan in push pull config

The thing I will and am going to change is swap the D Tek Custom LRWW Poly very soon and get a BayRes instead because in summer I will be moving to a YY Cube case and have more space :)

Recommend the DD RBX or LRWW blocks to start with and some AS5 and you'll be flying :)

The lot I listed cost me about £250 :)

Some pics of my rig :)
