Scratch Build – In Progress Watery (H1N1)

A little more today. I reworked the front holes to take one of the main parts of the new design, a 10mm divider plate..:

Yes I must try it one day. I have been fiddling with 3ds MAX lately. Entirely different program I know but fun all the same.

It was $300 direct from Ashar-Vellum. I've got the full student e-download version of V8.

Unfortunately not all that well. I've been up to my nose in coursework and exam revision. However, this is not a bad thing, I've been refining ideas etc, and there should be steady progress again from December 10th onwards

Righty ho, lets get this train going again..

I've been oh so very busy this year, but I'm now 'over the top' of that peak, so its time to carry on with this project. First thing was to re-build the MK2 res. Not much different from MK2, just higher detailed rasters, and better threads on the back panel mount. All of those little scratches are on the plastic cover sheet of the acrylic.. Its all glued up now, all I need is to get the three holes on the back tapped up for take G1/4" threads...







Tommorrow I hope to start the radiator mount...

Damn that's a sweet looking res, you have out done yourself Mankz, good job.

 

The project didn't move much. It was more like a twitch.
Still, it's good to see some hints of life.

Unfortunately, not much of an update.. I've come up with a far far far better design for the reservior, one that will include an O-ring, so I don't need a glue. But, unfortunately is stoopendously complicated, and its a 3D design as opposed to the current 2D design, so Im unable to cut it on the humble laser cutter

But do not fret! I've found a company based just down the road from me in Surrey who can do the work! Here is a little example of what they do..:







Rather pweety... In other news, I'm also waiting for a delivery of supplies from the US, primarly a whole load of sleeving etc. so I can get this back on track!

I'll hopefully put the CAD of the res up tonight!

 

I dont think there work comes cheap, i have worked with a few companies capable of such things, and it was never cheap..

All depends on how complex your design is.

 

Yeah, its expensive, but It'll be worth it
