hehe yeah, I tried riding a BMX in snow once. Note the once, I just fell straight on my ass :D I don't mind the cold so much but riding in cold wind is killer. Still, hoping to get out there now. This is when I love this area, when every one has buggered off for the winter :)

When it snowed over here last I went out on my mountain bike with 2.5" tyres on low pressures, so so much fun.

It's so shiny, and smooth. Time to service and sell on my old 2016 Cube Attention.

So it's started to get cold and my cycling leggings haven't been up to the job.

I used to cycle to work and the guys used to go on about wearing ladies tights under their gear.

So if gave it a whirl and I'm so much warmer, feel some what weird but it's just layers.

I find that I'm normally not too cold, except for my face. Nothing worse than getting in to work in the morning and feeling fine, only for your face to start to hurt fifteen minutes later when it starts to defrost :D

Cycling bib tights in winter, I have some windproof roubaix lined ones. Rode all last winter down to -5c without issue.
Cold face is horrid, I hate face masks so its usually cycling glasses or my eyes stream with tears a buff round my neck an a skull cap that covers my ears, an lip balm so i dont get cracked lips.

Yeah, I have a neckwarmer and if it's really cold I'll wear a skullcap, and I always have cycling glasses on, but all of that still leaves the old cheekbones uncovered and they really sting when they defrost!

Started building up a commuter/second bike. Amassed a collection of cheap parts only thing I cant find at the moment is the front mech. Itll be somewhere! Shifters are ready to go on just got too cold out doing it.
Back wheels not the final one its just what was lying around there is a matching one hung up. An the handle bar angle is all wrong :hehe:

    Only bits left to buy
    Bar tape
    Chain
    cables
    Bottle cages

Question is, what colour tape an do I go with polished cages?

Bar tape should always be black, any other colour looks like you've been rubbing it in dog poo after a couple of weeks.

Polished cages on the other hand, absolutely.

Ooh what big wheels you have.
This bike looks like it might be a handful to ride can anyone tell me something about this type of machine?

It's called a "fat bike", originally they were meant for trekking across snow, sand, swamps etc while loaded up with dozens of bags and racks, but because trends people buy them just so others can go "holy ***, look at the wheels on that!".

Generally unneeded for 98% of the world, especially with normal rims and tires getting wider every year, but fun for that 1%!

I had a neighbor who rode one here in the Netherlands (lol), he done it mostly as a work out. He wasn't all there though...

I don't like the look of those perforated rims. I can see them filling up with crap and being a real bugger to clean out, unless the bike is bought by one of the many cretins who only ride on pavements.
