Anyone know anywhere that I can buy decent outer gear cable in lengths over a metre?

CRC sell some epic Goodridge braided stuff but only sell it in 1 metre lengths :( I need longer as I want to hook up full length outer for my rear mech.

Ps, I have limited funds so it has to be cheap! :p

Tried wiggle.co.uk? Not really looked properly, but worth a try

Edit: The price on crc says per metre - i.e if you put 2 as qty you get 2 metres?

I thought that initially too, but then I thought that they might already have them pre-cut into 1 metre lengths.
I might email them and check as a 2 metre length of that would be spot on for what I need.

EDIT - I've just emailed them - I'll let you know what they say incase anyone else had the same question :)

I think you'll find that 1 meter isn't much use to anyone. Most outer is sold by the meter and cut to order.

I assumed that last night after giving it rational thought and ordered 3 metres :thumb:

Pics of the new rig will be up at the end of the week. Can't wait to ride it

Indexed my gears yesterday and took the 456 Summer Season for a midnight test ride...

All I can say is that it's epic compared with the Rock Lobster! The riding position is more laid back than an armchair, it rides like a BMX..

Roll on the weekend when I can ride it more.

    *hugs bike*

damn it that is where the 2 £15 transactions to O2 came from. That really pisses me off, I have had my money returned but I was hoping to use Chain reactions again as I thought that they where good. But now it looks like I have to find some one else, any online retailers you guys can recommend for bike equipment?

I'm on the phone to Halifax now, i got hit with £20 O2 prepay in the 15th. They also tried something on the 16th and 17th.

edit, They also tried to spend £60 in a shop called Lambeth in London and £30 in WH Smith but these 2 were blocked. Halifax have now blocked the £20 for O2 and are in the process of blocking my card and sending me a new one.

That's the last time I use Chain Reaction.

My card has now been cancelled. In addition to the 3 transactions they tried above they also tried to spend £1 with Apple.

Care to explain to thoseof us who don't have a clue what your going on about?

I'm unsure which brakes to replace the Shimano M575 with Gusset Chutes or Avid Elixir 5's... both very similar price and reviews.

    Still stuck for forks...!

    Try the

Trek 7000 range for something Hybrid,
Trek 7.x FX for something between a hybrid and a road bike.
    Giant Escape (Hybrid),
Giant TCR (I think this is the flat bar road type)
    Claud Butler Urban
    Claud Butler Escape
    GT Transeo

You will always get a better deal on the net, but you then get a bike in a box and have to return it to the importer for any warranty work. Go to a bike shop, get chatting with the staff and you will soon see why getting a bike from a shop is better and you can always haggle (shops will usually give you more ££ in accessories than in money off).
