From some of the threads around it seems like some of you know some stuff about web sites. I am working on a project for my Systems Analysis class and need to know roughly what it would cost to have a page made. So, my question is how much (just an estimate) would it cost to have designed and implimented a "shopping-cart" style store (like Amazon.) Thanks for any help :D

www.Shop@ssistant.com is one of many off the shelf shopping cart systems available. I'm fairly sure you could get an educational license for free. Search google to look for more, or if you're feeling brave, you can build your own. Look for tutorials on CGI or PHP and shoping carts, or if you just want the cart, with no transaction faciltiy, then www.hotscripts.com might be a good bet.

Miva Merchant is popular with hosting companies. You could go to http://www.hostsearch.com/ and look for a host that offers that package. That would be a decent estimate.
