I've just gotten round to figuring out how to use virtual hosts on apache2. Currently I've got www.trippie.co.uk and forums.trippie.co.uk "set up" (please dont visit those, its hosted on my home connection!). Before I started playing with virtual hosts, I used the hosts file on my mac (/etc/hosts) to set the ip address of the webserver staticly, bypassing the dns. But now, I don't know what to put in there, as the virtual server won't see it. Or will it? When I set the hosts file to use 192.168.1.3 as trippie.co.uk, if I go to www.trippie.co.uk it goes to my router configs, which is obviously not what I'm trying to do here! Any help would be great
