I have just installed my 41 week 2500+ Athlon XP. Now normally this has the multiplier locked at 11. But on my NF7-S I have complete control over the multiplier. I haven't actually changed it yet cause I am still burning it in. But will the mobo actually store a multiplier at 11 or more? Oh and does anyone know why after POST I get a SILICON IMAGING RAID message which takes about 5 seconds to go before saying there is no primary or secondary channel? Cheers
Most, if not all Nforce 2 chipset boards unlock bartons automatically so you should have no problem with overclocking. About the raid message. I don't have that board but I have an Asus A7N8X and that has silicon raid aswell. Basically that mesage is there becasue it has/is looking for hard drives connected to the SATA ports. You should be able to disable them in bios or with a jumper. Have a look in your mobo manual.
