A non personal question for the community out there, if you don't mind. At work, I've got two users that are having problems opening the XLSX files created by excel 07 with their Office 2003 pcs. All pcs are on XP, with Office 2003 and the Office Compatibility pack. The odd thing is that these users can open DOCX files with no problem, and if I log in with my Admin creds, I am able to open the same xls files on their PCs! Any Ideas? This is a domain environment, but these two don't appear to have any special group policies applied to them. Detect and Repair and reinstalling of the compatibility pack have not resolved this (nor has a reboot, or glaring at the pc... )
Thanks for the response Kenco, it's a good question that I'm not sure of, I'll look into it. BTW- I forgot to mention the error message I get is "This file is not in a recognizable format"
