Hmmm - It's gone 3pm and the courier still hasn't been.

Hands up who thinks GOO's not getting his GF4 today, and that he will wreak furious vengence upon the head of Watford Electronics first thing on Monday....

May the Gods have mercy on their souls!:grr: ;)

Someone I know asked me to fix an Aires PC they had bought from the company. I decided the power supply was buggered and went home to get a new one, guess what? The f*cking PSU was WELDED IN!!! :D I ended up moving the entire PC to another case, minus PSU.

    Warrantys, who needs em? :D

Well watford electronics no longer technically exists, they have merged with some people to become savastore, so they may have down sized call centers and stuff.

If they use the same tactics as they did when I was at BT, when they say 'not available' it's because most of the supervisors would refuse to take calls from customers.. which obviously used to get on our nerves no end.

If you ever did manage to swing it then the 'supervisor' was usually a more experienced rep sat within reach of them. More than once I've been a 'supervisor' because none were 'available'.

Hmmm - I've never had any dodgey stuff from SCAM, but I'll take note of that.

I've rung WE this morning, and unfortunatly I lost my rag at them. Probably not the most constructive thing I could have done, but it felt good. :D

They're supposed to be contacting me back to see if the card was dispatched.....

    I'm still waiting.....

Can't you just cancel it and go buy one elsewhere?

Scan have been excellent with me, although i take back stuff in person. 2 Killed Athlon XP's (don't ask :D) and they replaced them no questions asked.

Plus the replaced my mobo which I hit with a screw driver  (Damn Volcano 7 clip) And once again no questions, just tested it and replaced :).

SCAN Get a Big thumbs up from me :D

If I don't get any joy from them by the end of the day, I might just do that.

I can't expect them to get refunding my money back right, as the simple jobs of a) recieveing a return and b) sending a replacement seems to have foxed them so far.

As I have access to the credit card systems ( I work at a well known CC company), I'll raise a dipsute to get my money back, and go elsewhere.

I really shouldn't have to do this.... :sigh: But that's customer service for you these days.

I have never much liked WE, they always seemed a bit keen to get u to buy stuff without giving full details of what the product actually is

No - sorry M8. If you're curious, the company I'm talking about have something to do with that odd game - you know, the one with eleven people on a side where they kick an inflated sphere of leather around...;)

Even if I could, it'd be a bit difficult to up the credit limit on a non existant card.... I'm good, but not that good...;) :D

I'm not a Bank expert, but I think you have to be at least 16 to have a current account and debit card / chequekbook. You'd be better off asking at your local branch.

Oh - and you're right, Ice - I work (indirectly now) for the big blue bird...:D

Well - there you go

    Move to NatWest!

The only problem you'll have there is some online sites son't take switch. (which as I'm sure you'll know is the Natwest debit card)

(no loyalty to Big Bird here - not since the IT Outsource)

If you do go for it - make sure it's not a SOLO card they're offering - they aren't worth the plastic they're embosed on! I've never found a site that takes them.
