Why not phone Watford back, claim you never got the 2nd card, and demand a Ti4600 as compensation for all the grief they caused you!

    Worth a shot :dude:

Hell - why not! I'm on first name terms with most of the support call center at Watford, and I'm sure they're missing my daily calls...

...I'll See if I can get them to chuck in a couple of 21" monitors to match the Cards while I'm at it! :p :D

what a nasty story, but i personally wouldnt mind waiting that long for two cards lol, let us know how it goes in the end.

does anyone know how Overclock.co.uk thats where i was thinking about getting my new motherboard, a soya dragon, chillblast also have it for the same price so since of all the good stuff i heard bout them might try there instead

Kiltman, I bought my Soyo Dragon, Swiftech cooler, and GF4 all from Chillblast and have found them to be supurb.

When my GF4 developed a fault they took it back with no problems, and I had a replacement within a week.
In fact I got mine replaced before GOO got his replaced via watford, and he sent his back about a week before I did! :eeek:

I have also bought quite a bit of stuff from Overclock as well, and have found them to be very helpful and prompt also.

    Hope this helps ;)

    RECAP:

All in all, Watford took 17 days to replace the card (but due to posting I was without for 20), after:

    • 6 Emails
    • Numerous phone calls (I forget how many, but at one point it was at least 1 a day). One call had me on hold for 41 minutes!
    • 1 abortive attempt at a Saturday delivery
    • 1 Lost rag ;)
    • Lots of disapointment
    • 2 dispatch notes
    • Disbelief on GOO's part that they where sending two cards out

My advice - don't touch Watford with a barge pole, as:

    • They 'loose' returns because the 'manager' who enters returns onto the RMA system is on holiday, and his 'deputy' is ill.
    • Mr LeftHand dosen't know what Mr RightHand is doing at that company.

Go with Scoob's advice and use someone like Chillblast, a company that actually seems to have a clue when it comes to RMA's.

Right - I think enough has been said on the subject. Can one of you mods close this thread now?

    TTFN
