    Review at Tom's Hardware

    Very interesting!

In particular, there was difficulty in significantly overclocking the GPU:

Should be a nice little card for those with resolutions of 1920*1200 or less.

overclocking really isn't an issue to be honest, how many people actually overclock their graphics card 24/7?

besides, ATI will have some silly limitor on their graphics card anyway. such as 900MHz 6970 might be limited to 950MHz by the stupid CCC.

great card at great price, get it people!

Must admit Nvidia are in a no win situation re OC. Ie. if it OC's alot we moan they are too conservative and the card should run quicker as standard.
So they run them faster and then we moan theirs not much OC head room :=)

well you are pretty crazy :D 3 of the best graphics cards and still overclock for that extra 2 FPS, at 202 FPS.

speaking of overclocking, i'll be installing 3Dmark 11 released a moment ago, running the benchmark with GPU at 900MHz should be interesting.

    er..few things like

they use avg FPS to gauge ranking - It should always be minimum FPS

the metro 2033 benchmark is just rubbish as they have lowered the quality but turned on AAA with 16xAF !! plus it churns out 9-11 FPS minimums !

dont really think lost planet 2 and alien vs predator are good benchmark games either

I've downloaded it but am still at work (which is why I'm posting here...). Set up a thread and I'll post results when I get home!

P.S. Fully agree with you bagpuss.

I really don't see the point of overclocking a graphics card for an extra 2-3 frames per second, it seems pointless for the extra power and heat.

At least overclocking don't cost anything (except the extra power consumption)...people would pay £30-£50 extra for the next faster card that's also only a few fps faster...
