www.allAll Electronics has 256x128 with no backlight for $18 USD and the liquidmp3 site has sechamtics to hook them up. I have one in front of me as i type this and my buddy has bought about 7 of them to play with and he ran his fine with liquidmp3.

not many UK sites sell them then, the postage is expensive to the UK

Yeah it is a SED1330 17 pin control and can be run from the parrellel port.

You need to watch the contrast on these it needs to be a negative voltage between -10 and -26 or you can blow them. Ask my friend who i think had a total of 4 "templates" to use after he fried them.

They have a slot on the one side to add a backlight and solder points for the light and solder points for the power hookup for the light.
