Flat earth is my favourite for pure stupidity. They can't even come up with a reason for the conspiracy (which most others can). Also, the moon landing... I mean, wouldn't Russia have tried to dispute it if it were fake, since the whole point was competition with the USSR. Also, the fact that one of my mates believes in New World Order pisses me off. /Rant
I may have over looked it, but isn't it possible the camera is detachable from the chest? Wouldn't this allow the astronauts to look through it?
Maybe you should invest in a spellchecker, unless you believe the conspiracy theory which states that such things are the work of Satan?
I've heard that every time someone uses the Firefox spellchecker, Bill Gates kills a kitten. True story! ;P
I remember that they had a goverment backed investigation in 1973 which included accostic testing, they confirmed that there was more that one source of fire on that day. That was the offical outcome. If we want to geek out about tech here, if you had control of faster than light travel you could zip 46 light years away and turn back towards the Earth from the right dirrection given the Earths rotation of course, collect the light in various freq as visable maybe blocked by cloud, then "play back" the event. So in short the evidence for pretty much most land based events of question could be answered one day, that would make a decent film script.
I've heard that each time Bill Gates kills a kitten, a windows computer somewhere in the world gets a BSOD. FACT!
It wouldn't matter, as the Hasselblad cameras that were designed for the lunar surface did not have a mirror assembly or viewfinder. Today, we use cameras that are just about off the shelf (Nikon D2Xs), with the exception of a space-weather-resistant lubrication for the moving parts. The astronauts still have a difficult time looking through the viewfinder - their faces are several inches away from the glass of their helmets. When the astronauts go spacewalking, they can screw a small reducer on to the viewfinder, so that they can see more of the image when holding the camera up to their helmets. If anyone is interested, all of the lunar cameras are still sitting on the moon (or are they ). If you can make the trip, they're free for the taking. -monkey
