Ocamms Razor people! it may not be right 100% of the time but that 99.99% success rate is pretty damn sexy. I mean it does pay to prepare for the unexpected but unless you can prepare 100 times better than for the illogical the most logical conclusion then you're wasting time. EDIT: OMG SHINE ON!
Slash . "For over 5 years, various people both inside and retired from NASA have been engaged in a quest. They were looking for the long-lost original slow-scan video tapes from the Apollo 11 moon landing, which went missing in a record-keeping snafu, covered in unreasonable detail in a Wired article a couple years ago. Well now, according to the UK's Sunday Express newspaper, some tapes may or may not have been found which may or may not be the Apollo video. Apparently — I love the British press — the NASA boffins are a bit put out that it leaked; they were hoping to blow everyone's minds with the scoop themselves."
This is a genuine medical condition as far as I know. Our minister used to talk about a guy who's family he visited in hospital on a regular basis who was the size of an infant but was 32 years old when he died.
Incase any one does not know, Nasa plains to Bomb the moon in Oct, hit the clicky and listen to a discussion about it, its going to be a kinetic weapon which may create a crater five miles wide and the big one in the states what was in the film star man is only a mile wide. The moon is a highly strange body, there are a lot of interesting facts about the moon, when we left and let a 350pound rocket fall back to it, it "Rang" for three days.
First shots are in from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) of Mare Nubium (BBC Linky). LRO is due to begin overflying the Apollo landing sites in a couple of weeks time (40th Anniversary) at an altitude of 100km, meaning the camera will be close enough to see anything bigger than 1 metre across (Like the bottom half of a LEM, a Lunar Rover, etc).
erm...nice link, but not quite the BBC site Although for some reason, I seem to have developed a real hankering for fish & chips
I heard NASA have been planning to go back to the moon for some time, makes you wonder how it was done 50yrs ago in less than 8yrs?
Fave conspiracy theory? That Alistair Crowley and Adolf Hitler are the same person (someone once told me that... ). I now believe that my band's one axeman (seen in the pictures thread, next to me), Kerry King and Anton LaVey are in fact one person... Anything relating to 9/11 (my absolute favourite argument was that "DUDE!!!! Those planes can't fly like that" - cue me going: "ERRRMM...they quite evidently can... and i know of a couple of 1000 people that would agree with me" - him: "That was brainwashing at it's best, dude... never... there was no plane...").... yeeeeaaah.....
Interesting talk about some interesting facts about the moon landing. Jay Weidner - The Great Apollo Landing Hoax
