Electronics What am I going to need for this project?

No, the cars don;t have much for plastic IR can go through. My ultimate plan for hte IR transponder was to coat it in sometype of transparent strink tubing then just use a small amount of poster putty to put it on the car. That way it isn;t permanent or it won't take damage so easily.
