Backing up data after working out a new system. Setup is...

    SSD for boot.

Documents, Music, Pictures, Downloads, Video folders symlinked to my User folder on my samsung 1tb. This means that my replica User folder on the 1tb only includes my actual data and none of the stuff added by programs into the hidden folders etc, perfect for direct backup and restore.

My User folder backed up using MS synctoy using Contribute in case of accidental deletions to my 500gb.

Also backed up to one of the drives on my NAS, which is then scheduled to backup onto the other drive in the NAS. Not using raid because I want backup not redundancy, I also want to be able to use some of the space on the second drive.

I also have extra important stuff online. I will be getting another NAS for when I move out and leaving this one with my parents.

I hope I am not the only one who takes storage this seriously. I will stop waffling on now.

Eating a free kebab, free food is the best food. Unfortunately it is also covered in obscenely hot chilli sauce stuff :(
