    This:

Which isn't bad actually. They've always got it in stock in the Tesco near me.

    And this:

Which should need no introduction, and is also abundant in the local Tesco. Shame they haven't got more Brewdog varieties there, but such is the way in supermarkets.

Yeah, what I should have said was: "Such is the way in Tesco" :). Morrisons is great, but it's a 10-15 minute drive compared to ~3 minutes for Tesco :).

Bought a few of Pistonhead dry-hopped lagers to try.

Just opened a Flat Tire because I know I like mosaic hops and I'm curious to see how they taste in a lager.

    So far, so good. :thumb:

I can't drink overly hopped beers anymore. Just ruins a good brew for me.

I've not reached tipping point yet - I still really enjoy them, especially the fruity hops like Amarillo, cascade, Nelson sauvin, mosaic etc - but have wondered if the day will come.

I had a Speckled Hen in the week and, well, despite being a beer I've enjoyed in the past, it didn't do anything for me - all I could taste was dark, roasted malt.

Been drinking this past few weeks.
The more expensive Haig club whisky is decent, but at it's price point of 40-45 its very much overpriced (very much a case of style over substance).
The clubman whilst still very decent, retails at a much better price of 18.

If it stays at that price its definitely going into my rotation cheapish drinkers. Along with the likes of wild turkey, buffalo trace, Jameson and bush mills.

definitely overpriced, its a nice bottle though, Wild Turkey 101 sh!ts all over it( yes i know, its bourbon, but i'd rather drink JW Black label, Talisker 10, etc) haven't tried the cheaper version but i'm not holding my breath...

When my sister got married in Sweden last year they had crates of this and kustom larger as the beers for everyone and they were both great tasting beers ideal for session drinking. We were on an island in the middle of Lake Vänern, so very glad they have excellent taste in beer.

Sweden as a whole is far ahead of Britain when it comes to choice and quality of beers available. Even in a small town we stopped at on the way, we went into this small riverside pub/restaurant for some food and a few drinks while we waited for our lift to the boat, food was cheap and fairly simple but tasted gorgeous and they had 4 local beers on cask and a good selection of bottled too. Had a great afternoon playing gin rummy, getting drunk and watching the water roll by.

A nice recioto della valpolicella 2014 this afternoon (with home baked bread and a really nice Long Clawson stilton), and of course champagne tonight, as an accompaniment to chicken roasted in 40 cloves of garlic. The second glass was a champagne cocktail with some Chambord.

Tomorrow however I will be drinking a champagne cocktail with a shot of Thunder toffee vodka and some sugar mixed with cinnamon.*

    * Yes, sometimes I plan my booze of choice ahead. That's how we roll in this house.
