Long Way Round - 10/10
Will never get bored of this series. Starting to feel a bit dated now, but it is nearly 20 years old.
The Mandalorian - See, new Star Wars can be good/10
Yeah, I know, late to the party. But, you know what? People are right, it's great. In the same league as Rogue One.
I need to get on with other stuff today, but I think I might make myself another coffee and finish of the last two chapters* of season 1. Of course, the plan was to have binge watched all of it this weekend, but events have conspired against me.
*Episodes are called chapters in this series.
Konosuba - Explosion/10
Japan snorts cocaine and cranks Dungeons and Dragons to 11
Good work PJ, the Mandalorian has been a really excellent and well shot story.
Have you ventured into the Book of Boba Fett?
If not, have a look in. It's had a more mixed reception, but personally as a fan of Tattoine, it was great. It was cleverly told and added a lot of depth to things.
Conversely, I didn't think that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series added much.
I have one episode of Andor to watch, then I can start on M3.
I liked the Fett series, to be fair two of the episodes
Spoiler: Oops vague spoiler
could have been Mandalorian ones anyway I guess.
Currently waiting for Mando S3 to finish before binging.
Watched the entirety of TWD. That was a trek. I'd forgotten alot of the early seasons (hadn't seen the last two).
Blasted the second season of Shadow & Bone and there's much to like about it (the crows mainly).
Currently giving Locke & Key a run through.
Still have the last season of Stranger Things to watch.
I was very late to ST, watched a load with Mrs A and some with my daughter who was, watching it all for the 3rd time!
Fett/Mando - shhhhh
Picard series 3, absolute S-show, every episode is just a vehicle to introduce another cameo, may as well call it Star Trek the infirm years
One really should've been a Mando episode. The one where Din & Grogu re-unite. If you haven't seen that one, then Mando S3 has you going
Just started watching 1899, think it's got many of the same people involved as Dark. It's absolutely dripping with similar atmosphere, sounds, imagery etc. - only at the first couple of episodes so far but interested for this one big time.
Not watched 1899 for simple reason that it's been cancelled
That's presented me with a dilemma! Bummer.
EDIT: I'm going to do it. Just did some reading around the cancellation and it seems to have been quite popular as a series, so I'm going to take a punt, watch the first series and hope it gets picked up elsewhere for the second and third ones they had planned .
Star Trek news:-
It was ok, I nearly gave up during the first couple of episodes as the format wound me the eff up.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Just started, it's not bad although I'm not sure casting Harry Kane as the
new Captain America
was a wise choice.
I am SO bored with Mando now. It's lazy, both in terms of story and effects. The backflipping-on-string Grogu puppet just winds me up. Maybe I'm missing something ironic/retro/subtle or whatever, but for £80 I want to see more Andor and Rogue One.
Which is why I'm waiting keenly for Ahsoka. Maybe she can bring order.
Oh no! I've finished Andor and still haven't started on Mando 3, which I have been looking forward to.
Ahsoka will complete the live-action Rebels cast. Hera, Sabine, Chopper and a holo of Ezra are in the trailer. Zeb has been in an episode of Mando S3
More Trek news - "Star Trek: Section 31" will be a TV movie
You were meant to watch Boba Fett before S3 of Mando babes
