Rev. for the first time, 14 years after it was first shown…

A vicar that takes off his dog collar, then shouts “F*ck off” at a trio of repeatedly and very, annoying builders, deserves respect.

    Shogun S1 - 7/10

‘‘Twas good, I did enjoy it. The atmosphere and the visuals are fantastic. Felt a bit slow-moving at times though, did feel like it plodded its way through some episodes.

I watched The Old Man season 1.

I don't really know whether I liked it or not. It was.. I dunno. There was a big dramatic twist near/at the end of the season that a blind man should have seen coming, and like.. Some elements of the story seemed to actively conflict with what I was being told by my eye parts.

It feels like the story was just left half finished, like the last scene before the credits was as far as the writers got before knocking off early on a Friday before a long weekend of drugs and alcohol and they just kinda forgot they didn't really finish, and no one else noticed either.

Because streaming services are just the new US Cable companies. Nipple rubbing and all.

The Acolyte. Entertaining enough but I felt it tried just a tad too much to be all twisty turny, seemingly for the sake of it, all in the last episode. Felt a bit twee and contrived.

Same, all US series stopping at ten episodes this year has left me with little to watch.
And I needed a break before jumping in to the next walking dead, house of dragons, rings do dar.

Yeah, the assorted anti-AI strikes really did a number on the TV & movie schedules.

(For those who weren't following - the writers went on strike over fears the studios would switch to scripts written by chatGPT, and the actors because they started receiving contracts to sign that had clauses saying the studio could use their likeness & voice (deepfakes) in the future)

Grand Tour: One for the road. A nice way to end the series. Fantastic music choice, too.

Isn't it about time, Clarkson was doing adverts for over 50's life insurance and stairlifts?

    7/8 of Kaos. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Randomly bagged another three months apple trial so have just finished episode one of Slow Horses. Definitely has potential, will carry on with that.

I'm into episode 3 of KAOS so far and really enjoying it, glad to hear it keeps its momentum towards the latter episodes.

Didn't enjoy KAOS but forced myself to complete it. Even Mr Brundle-fly couldn't manage to make me enjoy it ... last few minutes of last episode made me think "it's finished just as the good story is due to start".

Watched the entirety of Luther on iPlayer ... enjoyed that.
