True, had a bit more in Rogue One TBF.

Andor was good at giving body to the types of character you'd only see in passing in the movies.

Really hope they continue that path.

In other 'watching' news. I finished off Nine Puzzles - really enjoyed it actually. Hopefully by the time I get another free Disney trial there'll be a second season.

Just started Dept Q on Netflix. It's been better than I expected so far. Maybe I just identify a bit with a grumpy English guy in Scotland

Been watching Dept. Q and have to highly recommend it despite being only 4 episodes in. Feels a lot closer to the Morse and Frost style detective work than the American hero character dropping wise cracks and policing better than the police. Generally just that more realistic, gritty style that feels more grounded and real without writing caricatures.

    Struggling with Andor S2.
It just isn't a space western, and comes across as an attempt to explain why the evil empire are fascist, bureaucratic sods hell bent on galactic domination.
Sod it, if I had to fill in that much paperwork on grey dreary wet planets I'd be out there trying to take over the galaxy just for a change in scenery.

Anything else I'd have given up and called it a bed job by episode 3, but you can't with this as something might pop up in one of the more enjoyable series that would fall flat and unexplained if you haven't seen everything in the star wars world

Watching Arcane on Netflix again, as I want to watch Season 2.

Absolutely zero interest in League of Legends, but I forgot how bloody good this is.

Would definitely keep going, quite a few people think the 1st 3 episodes are the weakest of the 2nd series.

I'll bear that in mind as I'm feeling that way about the beginning of S2

I stuck it out, I won't be watching a series 3 if there is one.

Got a free month of Prime and amongst the dross happened across the Devil's Hour.

Finding it enjoyable, a bit different and quirky. Just about to start season 2.

Definitely worth persevering, mate. I honestly think it's the best of the entire Star Wars universe, be it film or TV show.

Such a good show. Dark humour mixed with some really human moments. That railway tunnel episode was just haunting.

    Alone, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4803766/ , love it.
The Rookie, top TV cop drama with a little humour thrown in
Alien: Earth, only just started, might have legs if you ignore the timeline, having avoided all of the prequal films I may be missing out on some plot lines / characters but we'll see

My (usually misinformed) senses tell me you're not missing much so far on Alien. I'm undecided on it at the moment, but just finished Daredevil S2, now on Luke Cage, then I think Defenders is next, chronologically. Daredevil is far and away one of the better Marvel offerings.

    Something like that, anyway.

Finished Arcane a few weeks back. Absolutely bloody brilliant. One or two parts dragged a bit in later episodes of S2, but nowhere near enough to sully the show or spoil my enjoyment.

    Solid 9/10 for me.

(My 10/10 bar is pretty high, it’ll take something pretty spectacular to compete with the likes of Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5, or The Expanse)

Alien Earth. Sadly, after a very promising start, it has completely fallen off a cliff.
