Definitely one of the highlights of my year. Binged the lot. Brilliant.

Such a good show. Dark humour mixed with some really human moments. That railway tunnel episode was just haunting.

    Alone, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4803766/ , love it.
The Rookie, top TV cop drama with a little humour thrown in
Alien: Earth, only just started, might have legs if you ignore the timeline, having avoided all of the prequal films I may be missing out on some plot lines / characters but we'll see

My (usually misinformed) senses tell me you're not missing much so far on Alien. I'm undecided on it at the moment, but just finished Daredevil S2, now on Luke Cage, then I think Defenders is next, chronologically. Daredevil is far and away one of the better Marvel offerings.

    Something like that, anyway.

Finished Arcane a few weeks back. Absolutely bloody brilliant. One or two parts dragged a bit in later episodes of S2, but nowhere near enough to sully the show or spoil my enjoyment.

    Solid 9/10 for me.

(My 10/10 bar is pretty high, it’ll take something pretty spectacular to compete with the likes of Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5, or The Expanse)

    • The Punisher Season 1
    • Jessica Jones Season 2
    • Luke Cage Season 2
    • Iron Fist Season 2
    • Daredevil Season 3
    • The Punisher Season 2
    • Jessica Jones Season 3

Alien Earth. Sadly, after a very promising start, it has completely fallen off a cliff.

I watch so little on the TV, especially films, that on the odd occasion I look at this thread, I very rarely have any idea what you’re all talking about…

    The Diplomat on Netflix
About halfway into season 1, been really good so far. A slightly different twist on the "political person career-path", in that they don't really want one, really enjoying it so far.

Sadly, AppleTV have pre-emptively cancelled "The Savant" shortly before its premiere.
The show's premise was "hunting white supremacist cells across the USA", but I guess you only have to visit the White House to find some these days.

I forgot to say thanks for this. The reason I'm out of sync is because early on and before I'd looked this up, I decided some looked more interesting than others so have actually skipped in and out of the list.

Trying to get back in line as best I can!

Dope Thief on Apple TV is good. Slow, but investigative, bit like the Wire.

My oldest kid made me start watching The Rookie. Kind of like it (13 episodes in currently) for an easy to watch/low commitent show.

Shogun, late to the party and only half way through the first series, but this is beautiful.

The Rookie rocks, occasionally it takes itself too seriously and gets a smidge 'dark' but it is bloody entertaining, do yourself a favour though and do not watch the FBI spin off
