    I thought it was great.
And after some initial disappointment, the ending kind of made sense.

Just watched the 1st two new episodes of scrubs, feels like I've gone back in time.

Scrubs helped me while my dad was really ill and then when he passed, so it's brought back feeling i didn't think a comedy show would give me feelings

Last night I watched War Machine on Netflix. Now that film is never going to win an Oscar, at least I would be a little disappointed in the judging criteria if it did, but I thought it was pretty good, at least from a point of view of a good old "turn your brain off and have fun" action film point of view. Alan Ritchson pretty much played Reacher again, which is always fun.

Worth a watch if you need an action film fix.

Just finished watching The Day of The Jackal on NOW. Amazing show, easily one of the best series I've watched in a very long time. It starts strong with good pacing and scene-setting, and while the pacing yoyos a bit in later episodes, the story doesn't disappoint. The interwoven themes don't bring anything new to the table (espionage, grand corruption, lone assassin) so it often felt quite Bourne-esque to me, but the cinematography is incredibly well done, and the casting is brilliant. I'd give it a very solid 9/10.

I despise the trend of remaking old content, especially when it's a film that turns into a series with a different take on the original content anyway - just call it something new, FFS.

So on that note, is this remake actually any good? I've swerved it so far.

I have like 2 episodes left its really not that bad, it has a lot of similarity but also enough to make it stand out on its own and some nice twists to change it just enough from being a 1 to 1 remake

Ah, fair enough then. I'll give it a crack!

I'm watching Prisoner (Sky, but might be BBC) at the moment. It started okay, but I'm thinking it's a bit contrived now. I'd probably say watch something else first, if you haven't started this yet.

My wife has finished watching Season 1 of Landman and now she wants me to join her for Season 2, I do not watch much TV but I've agreed to take the time. She's also offered to tell me what happened during Season 1 to bring me up to speed...

I am finding it incredibly hard to watch anything new at the moment, to the extent that im on my third, possibly fourth, binge of Brooklyn 99. Whilst there are worse things to binge, i really want to watch some new, i just dont.

I was watching The Silo, but ground to a halt on episde 5 of season 2, and just cant find the motivation to carry on; and I think thats stopping me from trying anything else.

Admittedly, I have watched the new Scrubs, and new series of the guff that I watch with the Boss, but they're all benign and/or continuations of stuff already familiar.

    Frustrated :(

"Cover all PC bases" thing with Zendaya and Sidney Not-So-Teeny is back on Sky via HBO (??) and I was asleep halfway through episode 1. It's now actually a fairy tale. Possibly appropriate, given the amount of gear involved, but never have so many stimulants gathered in one place put me out so quickly.

Prisoner thing I was watching is a NO. Don't bother. Slight interesting twist at the end but I can tell you about that if you want and save you six hours of your life.

The Boys on Amazon is still great, Darth Maul on D+ isn't actually too bad for the treadmill, Daredevil: Born Again started out really well too, but I was pulling long hours and drifted from the path, so I'll erm....take delivery of that again.

Watched all of Tip Toe over the weekend, felt things were a little over the top at times but most bits felt pretty believable in their own right which was both shocking and depressing. Hadn't planned on watching it all but was up till 2am on Sunday finishing it, not a fun watch but would recommend.

Reminded me about It's a Sin which is something I've meant to watch in the past but haven't got to yet, may go for something a little lighter first though.

    Babylon 5
I've been avoiding any new shows as I've been craving to rewatch B5, BSG, Firefly and ST TOS, the Lost in Space remake so here I am on season 2 of B5 and even though the CG looks Amiga and the sets are rough, the show is just wonderful and even now, much older than when I watched it, it has meaning on todays worlds and has me thinking about the story it's telling more

I am too on S2 of B5 right now, and I get what you mean completely about it having relevance to today, possibly more than when I first went through them. Been taking a lot more notice of the characters as well this time and how they go about things. We could all stand to learn a lot from Lennier, he has rapidly become one of my favourite characters in the show.
