just because a sing is popular doesnt make it bad...

dubstep going mainstream is a good thing - the katy b song, and also magnetic man will increase the number of listeners.

you might argue that the same happened to dnb, ie Pendulum, but their last album was cracking.

oh and btw, that katy b song was produced by benga ;)

Wuthering Height - The Mad Sailor.

Catchiest piraty song I've heard since Turisas going "Holmgard and beyond", but chirpier. Adn with deper lyrics. I'm impressed.

Oh, so all the stuff that went mainstream is as good as it was back in the days, right? Sure, sure... :eyebrow:

And just because it was produced by Benga still doesn't make it a good song.

I mean, honestly, you can't say that this

    is anywhere near this

    or this

    or this

Are you saying it is? :p

Surkin is pretty nice, very close to the more melodical Justice stuff. Yet at the moment I prefer dubstep. :p

genres need to evolve - if everything produced now sounded exactly the same as it was back in the day then whats the point?

case in point, im a dnb person myself, i love the older stuff (state of mind, concord dawn etc), but i appreciate newer stuff too (sub focus, chase and status). you can also see the evolution of the genre - its more refined.

    +1

I fully agree with this, genre's need to evolve or they will simply stagnate and die e.g. Garage music (Speed, 2-step,fall 2da floor). Kindda depressing some big name DJ's still play songs from these genre's which where out over 15 yrs ago when i was in school. :sigh:

Only got to track 4 so far, but it's pretty good. Not exactly classic Maiden, but quite good. Now for a tour!

    Amorphis - Skyforger (Album).
Brilliant, beautiful, melodic. Full of notes, emotion and melodies that are inspiring. One of my fave albums of this year.
