    I have a slight Tarja Turunen infatuation at the moment so:

    I REALLY want this:

    I must admit that after hearing her singing both Metal and classical music I am struggling to like any other female singer. Nightwish will never be the same again now she has left. Their new stuff is "ok".

    Anette is hopeless in comparison as her voice has no depth or power. Listening to her trying to sing Tarja's old stuff is downright painful:



    As a comparison Tarja can hit the high notes and hold them whilst Anette has to shout/scream her way through them. To be fair Nightwish should simply stop playing their old music as it isn't fair on Anette, the songs were never written for her vocal "range" and all of them sound terrible. Tarja is a classical trained Opera singer and it shows through her music.

    Anywhoo I am off to watch some more Tarja videos (the wife will be pleased... :p).

    You know how there's a song that sometimes describes exactly how you feel at a certain point in time? Yeah.

    I have fond memories of seeing these guys live in Belfast with two of my best friends a few years ago.
