I remember hearing some one say yes whitney was great but there being many singers as good as her but i am very sure i have never heard any one even remotely close.

What a great shame to not be able to hear her maturing voice into her late years. What a voice.

I left London for the first time in my life for the USA in 2000. At that time I was your typical urban fellow. All Moschino, Versace ETC and house and garage clubs. I soon found out in the USA (well, where I was living) that things were very different so I switched my music and dress etc for cargos and so on. Any way, last night I downloaded an album and there was an old garage tune on there. One of those real anthems.

I have nothing of my old music collection left (it was all tapes) so finding tunes like this makes me feel awesome. Proper hairs on the back of your neck/rewind the best bit over and over.

So yeah, picture me chair dancing and waving my hands around like a nutter last night haha :D

Haven't heard this for years but suddenly remembered it. Pretty cool how this remix completely changes the original (also great).

Great shout! I was lucky enough to see GY!BE once, it was utterly captivating.

For me? Full set of Gaslamp Killer, in all it's glory:

For some reason I was reminded of this earlier (the video editing) so it's getting a play tonight.

Edit: O yea, it's probably NSFW.

Bleh. Much of music is knowing when not to play. They've crammed so much into that, it kind of misses the point, the solitude of the original.

Dennis Leary parodying right-wing America in front of a right-wing American audience without them even realising. The US Alf Garnett. Genius.

    NSFW. Highly offensive.
