Not unusual for Apple Music to throw oddities at me every now and then. Such as this “bardcore” rendition of “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”:

But as soon as the lyrics kicked in, I didn’t know what the hell was going on… until I noticed “Classical Latin” in the title:

So. Now I know how to say “I walk alone” in classical Latin:

I have no idea what use this will ever be, but it will now be indelibly written into my brain forever more, whether I want it to or not.

Normal service soon resumed however, because the very next song was back to “regular service”: a war-themed song from Sabaton.

(Which they, rather predictably, caught a lot of flak for, since it’s about the Falklands War and it’s told from a British perspective.)

First proper listen through of I Feel the Everblack Festering within me by Lorna Shore (new album dropped today)....

What a follow up to Pain Remains....

So far it is beautifully brutal and quite topical in ways.

EDIT: Video for Glenwood dropped earlier today (after I posted the above):

Not going to lie but I got very emotional with the last section (which isn't on the album track). Not in the same context as the video but in the sense of life is short.. I lost my dad 5 years ago and its still extremely raw.

    It’s glorious, isn’t it.

Very much looking forward to seeing them again in January.

Just spent more time that it was worth trying to remember the artist and title of this song. It's not even on who sampled for the René & Angela track it samples.
