A little problem has come up, Im ordering an i7 system for my friend tomorrow, and scan seems to not have either the antec 1200 case nor the HAF 932. What alternatives would you lovely bit-tech people recommened around the same pricing and good air cooling performance
I have the Haf922 and really like it, if you add the optional 200mm fan to the side, or two 120mm fans, it has the same cooling as the haf932, plus if you read the bit-tech review for the 922, they made quite a few improvements over the 932.
Excuse me in advance for asking a silly question, but if you're looking for the 1200 or HAF932, why not just buy them from another e-tailer???
Just a side question any idea why Ebuyer lacks i7 CPU coolers? Or am I just blind and not able to see them lol
cosmos s all the way here...gone from a 900 to this and i couldnt be happier....well i could but water cooling has to wait a little while lol
Don't think there is a specific section for core I7 coolers as most coolers come with brackets for all three mounts so they are all bunched in together. Ebuyer has the Antec 1200 in stock and as mentioned above its free delivery. Is it dearer than what scan were asking, if not just order from ebuyer.
+1 for the 900. it's a good case to build for people although it does have a lot of holes. (My friend's one growls at me. )
+1 for the cosmos s it's got great cooling and you can add more fans in the future and you can get it off pcworld for £100 and p&p is free
I've always liked that case but didn't realise you could get it that cheap now. I did a quick search for reviews and prices and came accross the CPC review from last year that didn't rate it for cooling, have they changed things to improve it?? Aforementioned review from CPC
Just order from ebuyer and get get the case you want with free delivery too. (stuff still usualy comes next day with free delivery every time i have used it) Antec 1200 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143852 HAF http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148685 Have the prices gone up?
CM 690, for price per CFM, even the Antec 300 doesn't come close when you fill all the fan bays, and if your willing to do small mods, the side panel is solid so you could do either a window mod or a massive fan mod... http://www.scan.co.uk/product.aspx?ProductId=21651
902! Go for the Antec 900-2! You can get it at Scan and is perfect for first builders. Plenty of room and plenty of cooling, you cant go wrong.
