I was all set to buy the Akasa Clear Acrylic ATX Case for overclockers.co.uk but they have now added the BeanTech BT-80 Acrylic Case for a few quid less. I'm not sure what I should look for in an Acrylic Case any pointers?
Personally i like the look of the akasa one, it has better cooling potential built in (not that you couldn't just add a few more blow holes to the beanTech) and from my experience akasa make pretty high quality products. Of course if the price is important (which it definately is to me! ) then the beantech is a lot cheaper! however it does state that the BeanTech doesn't come with a psu, but they havnt said that for the akasa. Mebbe u shud fone up and ask if the akasa has a psu? of course if u dont need another psu then it doesnt matter.

Since I'm the one that handed the 'Award for Excellence' out, I'll agree. Beyond looking cool, it's functional and well-made. You won't have frustrations getting to your hardware with this one.
Hi, I've just recieved a BT-82 case for review. Its pretty good, although the gluing isn't 100%. Heres some things to consider: The BT80 has 2 Cooling Fans, not the 3 which OCUK seem to think. That is the BT82 Model... The Akasa comes in a flat pack, you have to put it together, the beantech comes fully assembled
Putting it together is half the fun!! i think id go for the akasa for the very fact that it is flat packed!
standard stage mic for the majority of vocalists and considering the abuse i give it, just about anything else wouldn't hold up...anyway - it isn't a brag, just a statement saving up for one of these i want an art deco toaster mic *n
worries?!? I was rummaging around in my current PC today when I noticed that the Window kit was charged with static! Is this a problem for clear PCs?
