The time has come yet again to spend stupid money on pc stuff as my mum would say anyway I am wondering what crt to get budget is around £120 and might break the bank abit I been looking at a few but all the specs on crt's mean nothing to me even though I own a 15" studioworks These two are the main ones ive been looking at http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=59348 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=168321 Btw the monitor will purely for gaming thus why I want a crt
not really a fan of scan but the monitor looks well nice. myself i would go for a 19" Iiyama VisionMaster 1451 i have 1 of these and they are nice monitors found here http://www.aria.co.uk click on monitors then the 5th 1 down. i think
another vote for Iiyama Monitors...try and find yourself a secondhand one and you can get an even better deal!!
yet another vote for an Iiyama here. I'd say try to find a second hand vision master 454 19", i got one off ebay recently for £40. I had a problem in that it stopped displaying a picture, but it was replaced no questions asked as it was just (1 month) within the 3 year warranty
Get on ebay and get anything with a Diamondtron Tube (or an Eizo a bit like this one.) They're all bloody excellent, and can be had for bugger-all.
Im a visionmaster pro 454 user, and i must say its a fantastic monitor. using a diamondtron M2 and max rez of 1920x1440 and it comes with a usb hub. it's worth the money if you can find one.
People are still using CRTS? I used to have a Belinea 15", it was very nice but now if got a TFT i dont get hit with static discharge anymore (or the near fatel discharge throught the mains plug from the capasitors)
I did say I needed it for gaming I am not short of space and im not bothered about looks and tfts hurt my eyes
I have the Hyundai Imagequest and it is a great monitor apart from 2 things. At 1280x1024 @ 85Hzis makes a curious squealing noise and it takes a minute or two to get to full brightness after being turned on.
I've ued Aria in the past without a problem But they don't sell the 19" Iiyama VM Pro 454 you're thinking of getting! But truth be told... it seems to be quite a difficult monitor to find anywhere now
It doesn't matter how much money, just get a Viewsonic , they are sooo damn nice! you can get a V201b (widescreen) from Evesham (lowestonweb.com) for £220 its sooo nice, but i would spend on a VX924! Mankz
