The turntable I purchased on New Year's Eve, well, I've finished to repair it and the bloody thing is actually working.

    Thanks.
I've never repaired nor owned a turntable before so I had lowered expectations. Turns out, it sounds very good :)

Many people don't realise that vinyl & CD versions of the same recording can sound so different.

So, it turns out I like birds. Easy to do when you see a red kite and a kestrel sat in the same tree from your living room in the morning.

Snap. We have a woodsy area directly behind the house, and also next door to a country park, and I often find myself still sitting at the kitchen table half an hour after finishing my breakfast because I've been watching birds.

I even have a poster of tits hanging on my office wall.

Digital music, CD rips to lossless FLAC for me, are so much more convenient and easier to look after. If you ever listen to CD quality music through a good DAC, having not done so before, you will be amazed how much detail can be revealed. I use an Audiolab M-DAC to drive Shure SRH1540 headphones, which add just a little warmth to the sound, so they don't sound to clinical.

We have a woodsy bit by us too, unusual I don't see at least a kite or two everyday.

The kestrels are less regular and the owls we only hear at night/early morning now it's a bit colder and darker.

Oh and woodpeckers like nut feeders it turns out and long tail tits swarm like they're under some sort of asbo order and their tags have been turned off.

The first house that my wife and I lived in was just around the corner from the house that I grew up in and between the two places is a small wooded area known as The Spinney and we would often hear some tawny owls in there. Came home one evening in late autumn and there was an owl perched on the gable end. We would also get the streams of crows and rooks flying over us as they went off to roost in Wollaton Park. We do get a bit of the crow flights where we are now, but I do miss the sounds of those and the owls.

It certainly is! It won't disappoint, the Mavic 2 Pro is an amazing bit of kit.
Yep, more batteries is pretty much compulsory.
Hoping to fly my Mavic Pro tomorrow, as the weather looks OK for a change.
I look forward to seeing you posting on the drone/quads page

Resin + UV powder test is pretty much what I wanted.

When I have space and access to my tools again I can get cracking on this desk.
