Mucho progress made on the mud kitchen today, so much so I’m almost done! 10-20 minutes here and there throughout the day, constantly plugging away when I had the opportunity. Felt a bit guilty locking my lad out of the garden for the majority of the day while I tried to get this done (it was cold, dangerous and I was wielding a hammer and saw)

everything aches though, but gosh darn it I’m proud... need to change the £2 chalk board for something better. Whack on some hole saw fake hobs/knobs and sand this bad boy dolphin silky smooth before throwing in some sort of steel bowl sink.

Plan to go full artisan and burn a bitchin sign on that top board to complete the look.

it’s rough around the edges but it was free pallets and I made it....

    Ha, looks great!

From the way you spoke of it earlier I expected a lot more "pallet" :hehe:

So the only thing that isn’t “pallet wood“ is the very top surface which is “bed skate” apparently so it’s nice and smooth. I have no idea what that means nor if the term was lost in translation but it’s wood that’s reclaimed as part of shipping large appliances on pallets... I’m still claiming it! :hehe:

The rest is two distinctly different pallets I salvaged (the rougher splashboarf/frame for splash board) + a load of very similar ones my dad provides from his workplace who install domestic appliances :)

Experian credit score up 220 points this month. THAT was the kind of bump expected from the ccj coming off. Shame I'm in no position to use it :hehe:

Whelp, joining the ranks of the furloughed as of tomorrow. Why's this a good thing? Because the company I work for has promised to make up the remaining 20% in wages. The only (EXTREMELY minor) problem is that after the first month, we then have to take one day a week as holiday, which I can certainly live with!

Time to build all the Lego cluttering up my hose...

There is a chance that this might lead into a posting in the 'What's ruining your life right now?' thread, but I'll address that if it pops up.

If the Lego clutter ever gets too much, send it my way! I'll gladly suffer on your behalf...

    I have a 5700XT, a still fine Ryzen 5 1600, and a 27" 144hz display.

I'm using it to play C&C Remastered.

At least it's doing 144 fps just fine I suppose..

This thing has been driving me nuts for ages. It is under the stairs, right in front of my supplies. I continually have to move it.

Today I claimed it :D no paint oven? no problem ! saves me peeing around with the small ones.

Have just found what looks like a mint condition boxed Atari STfm for an absolute steal... And apparenty he's willing to drop it off... Even if it needs repairs the price I'm paying is more than worth it.

Still extremely wary though because this is a Gumtree deal...

Picked up my new car. Looks even better IRL.

    Pro:-
    • Dealer included mats without being asked
    • Car was charged to 100% when I collected
    Con:-
    • All the user manuals supplied in the glovebox are in German!

Bus service day. Waiting for three parcels, and they all came at once. Awesome, especially given how crap the weather was today. Got around several issues building the new bike but she's there. I need a 3/8 driver to do up the wheel nuts. Well, they are not nuts but female axles that use bolts.

I would be annoyed as they weren't cheap, but as I have said elsewhere I never begrudge buying tools. Plus it means I can use my 1/4 drive torque wrench on 1/2" sockets.

They were only four quid on Amazon, should come tomorrow. Then I can air up the tyres properly and hopefully go out riding tomorrow providing it isn't peeing with rain.
