2.2 is the last one I can run on my desktop and tiny eee-PCs. 3.0 is supposedly only 64 bit compatible. Might have to work some magic.

Got to spend my day having fun at the mall and visiting people's houses with one of my best friends at home. It keeps me busy while my gf is 500 miles away. :\

This break is far too long.

SSD's, why did no one force me into buying an SSD before? It is easily the upgrade that has given me the most noticable improvement in everyday computing.

Unfortunately I accidently forgot to copy my steam folder off my F3 OS drive onto a backup drive before formatting so now I have to redownload. Not a problem with 50mb and me only really playing tf2 these days, but oh no, it's Christmas and every bugger is trying to download their new games!!! On the Poland server at about 900kb/s at the minute.

Now just need to work out wether to put all my steam stuff on my F3, or symlink certain games to my SSD...

Since starting a second job at the start of December to help an old employer out during the busy run up to Christmas, I've averaged just over 15 working hours per day, working no less than 95 hours in each of the four 6 day weeks I've accumulated since the end of November/Start of December.

Why does this make my life awesome? I didn't think I was capable of keeping this sort of thing up for more than a week any more! I used to do it quite a lot over the summer holidays in my late teens with one full time and one part time job, but thought that I'd past the stage of being capable of doing it. In these past few weeks I've just proved myself wrong :thumb:

Lack of Jack Daniels and cider. Let down! ;)

Also, Christmas. A new jacket and scarf make me happy. As do massive amounts of chocolate. Oh, and the superb lunch my Mum made.

That's the opposite of a let down.

I'll take a wild guess that you hate both?

I am only talking about decent cider in this instance; Blackthorn, Strongbow etc. are utterly revolting.

I have managed to completely silence my case...if I stop my graphics card fan :thumb:

While I have fixed the rattling/grinding noise the graphics card made, it is still the loudest thing in my system by far.

I have finally got my side panel to stop vibrating after some bending and general tinkering, now I have an SSD my HDDs don't spin up often and make noise, and my fans are silent.

I have the PC about a foot away from my head and I have crazy good hearing, I should really stop the torture and put it on the floor...

I've managed to split a 3.99GB 24bit, 96kHz Wave file into seperate tracks at last. Now all I have to do is split it again, correcting for slight timing errors.

Also the new BluRay player software I bought almost works correctly, it just doesn't like 5.1 channel 96/24 LPCM soundtracks.
