I have a couple of broken panel clips on my NR200 and I've been looking for some more of the mesh Cooler Master use for dust filtering on their cases. I could print some of the clips (once I reassemble my printer) but I need the filter sheets anyway so, unable to find anything on the CM EU store, I dropped their CS team a message last night, asking if they sell them.

I received a response this morning:
I replied with my address and this afternoon I get this from UPS:
Your parcel is on the way!
    From COOLER MASTER
    Scheduled Delivery
    Thursday 19/08/2021

Didn't even ask me to cover the shipping cost.

Colour me very happy and pretty bloody impressed with Cooler Master's customer service. :)

Perhaps we should start a "Grumpy middle-aged men" thread... :worried:

I now own my dream home.

1981 Tiffin Allegro motor home, 27'
    Dual fuel (propane/gasoline) 454ci motor
Comes with Onan generator built in the back, not sure of output
    100 gallon propane tank
Gas stove, oven, and water heater
Dubious soft spot under custom hardwood laminate floor

    All appliances included

Sure, it's got wheels. That's the fun of it. I can leave Alabama in a few years when it's all repaired. Got some stuff to replace but it's really nice. Pics tomorrow when it's cleaner.

My wife got into that recently, after her daughter told her about. Now she's addicted!

So the job offer I was told about didn't come through.

Today though my bosses, boss called me and said he had some news.

He said "we have tried out best, but could only find enough in the budget for a disappointing £6k a year increase in salary"

I laughed and said "it's better than nothing", then he said "I cannot promise anything, but I will be trying for more next year because you deserve more"

So £6k more a year, its not quite the £10.5k but at least I don't need to worry about driving 60 miles each way 3 days a week, which is what I would have had happened if I took the other job.

It never ceases to amaze/disappoint me that companies will find the money only after they realise the employee has value to somebody else.

    But that's still great news.

That is what my bosses, boss said he is annoyed about it because he wanted "much more" but was told that's all they could do, unless I had an offer that I could show.

Really bad day today for multiple reasons, Got to work this morning and had another negative feedback from an international buyer. They’d been really persistent even a few days after dispatch about it not arriving. I suspect trying to build up some kind of story with eBay about contacting me possibly?

Turned out they’d opened a case early hours this morning and 3 hours later eBay issued them a refund on the basis "I hadn’t provided tracking info" even though I had, and that would have been updated by eBay processing through GSP also.

Their comment was along the lines of “I’ve been home the courier lied I don’t have it” Not only that, but eBay placed the fee on hold and refunded separately so was twice down on selling cost £156.40 in total.

As this went through eBay GSP tracking was available and showed it arrived yesterday, I could track it from dropping off at the parcel shop to arriving in Barcelona at the buyers door through all three couriers… why on earth had eBay ignored this?

I appealed, in the afternoon got a message from the buyer along the lines of “not what I wanted, not my style, it’s not very big… are you serious!?” Shortly after putting the appeal through, I gathered he hadn't expected I would contest and take it on the chin instead. Nope.

Despite all sizing details in the description and CLEAR pictures in the listing, they’d received it, didn’t like it, but rather than return opted for a cheeky refund at my expense £78.20 to be exact claiming the courier had lied and snatched it.

Some persistence and charm with eBay and I got this through this evening

    “We've granted your appeal

    Hi Jordan,

After reviewing the case, we decided to reverse the outcome and grant your appeal.

You'll receive a refund of £78.20 to your total funds.”

HA! HA! HAAAA! Next time go through usual return routes and I’ll happily sort things out, don’t try play a fast one for your own benefit.. money back in my pocket. Negative feedback removed and a scammer booted up the posterior.

Thanks to Ayushi in the eBay resolutions team!

eBay GSP is probably the single worst thing I have ever sold through. Never again. Ever.

I've never really had too much trouble, the only issue I face is eBay tend to charge something outrageous and I occasionally get abuse for it because international buyers don't realise I don't dictate that cost. Most of the time they do realise and contact me for cheaper international shipping to which I usually oblige.

It was just crazy how eBay completely bypassed their own tracking info though, I suspect it may have been a case he called up and put a bit of pressure on the representative possibly? Nice they actually supported their sellers for once... usually I'm the one who gets stung so reversing the decision was a nice outcome

    Slept well for it.

As some of you know a few weeks back my missus smashed her p30. She ordered a new phone and I decided to order a screen and have a pop at fixing it myself. I also was given my dad's old phone, a p30 pro, which he accidentally ran over with a bus at his work (mechanic). I ordered a screen and a new back, some of the recommended glue (GOD THAT STUFF SUCKS).

Parts were all ordered off Ali express, £148 quid, 2 weeks, and 5 hours of repair time. Both are now repaired. The p30 was the first one I did, everything was perfect bar 1 thing, I must have gotten glue in the volume rocker, so the up volume doesn't click anymore, just feels spongy but still works. The p30 pro, on the other hand, came out super perfect, now that I had a feel for how the glue went down, where to add pressure, and where to tape to allow it max cure time.

Now I don't know what to do with them lol, sell them or keep them, not a perfect repair on the p30 but the pro i am now like...... what if I sell it and the back or something falls off .....not that it should with the glue but still lol

Anyhow first time repairing phones since the good old days of no glue and just 2 screws and a ribbon cable. I opted for the harder repair, just the screen without the frame (as it was 20 quid cheaper), learned a lot in the process too which is always a bonus :)
