That can't be right, in the census Scotland's population is increasingly describing themselves as having no religion, it must be around the 40% mark. I doubt all the churchgoers are also doing crimes so more likely their method of questioning was flawed or those being asked just clumsily blurted out some nonsense from their childhood?

I mean, if you asked the prisoners if they had an above average number of legs I'll bet most would say no, and most would be wrong.

Yeah, it looks like it isn't - per this report, p24 (which I got from the link Gareth provided), 50% of the Scottish prison population describe themselves as Christian. Just over 40% said "None" and 2.5% are Muslim, fwiw.

Now these stats are from 10 years ago, so there may well be more recent available that are different, but I can't see them being wildly different.

My bad - must have misread that bit!

    EDIT:
Yeah, I did: 93 per cent of the 58 per cent of prisoners professing to have a religion are Christian. That's a different thing entirely!

Managed to keep my weight under 20stone despite much frivolity in October, with mine and 2 other family birthdays in the month. Would like to get that down, need to get on the bike and burn some calories, but so much to finish off in the house, time and energy evade me. Still, the DIY is quite the workout if the amount of sweat is anything to go by. Had to get a couple of headbands as easily drench one through, if not 2 and then resort to makeshift t-shirt bandanas :hehe:

We had a nice Halloween with good weather. We got about 60 tricksters, a wee less than anticipated but still way more than when I (re) started 3 years ago. We chatted with the neighbours, kids were nice, and everyone liked my jack-o'-lanterns.:happy::happy:

Best Halloween ever - took my daughter to her first proper gig - Chelsea Wolfe in Leeds.
She was beaming the entire time, Chelsea was fantastic, just all altogether excellent experience.
As what I expect was the only kid in the venue, she caught the eye of the guy at the sound desk who came over after and gave her some memorabilia trinkets and the setlist.

That's pretty cool of the sound guy, my daughter is going to her first gig tomorrow (Jann) by herself (with friends, not us) we as parents are not as cool with it as we really should be, when did I become this nervous old fart..... :D

My mum never had a clue what I was doing at 16, I never gave her a second thought and as I was roaming the streets from a very young age I doubt she did either.

Half an hour to go and then a much needed week off. It is going to be so nice.

Then back in for a week and then another week off.

Work has been as such that I am absolutely drained at the moment.

Mind you, I do have a LOT to be getting on with at home during this time off, but I shall manage.

Have a great week off, I was able to take a week off with the family last month and go abroad for a welcome change of scenery.

Don't overdo it with work at home!

My wife cracks me up, I decided to do Movember this year in honour of a good friend who passed away from cancer.

I normally have a short to messy beard, so decided to go clean shaven.

Went to the Barbers and come back in through the door, “Who let Ross Kemp in our house?” comes the response from her, as she sees my smooth face for probably the first time in ten years.

I go look him up and he is 20 years older than me!

Sometimes I think about shaving off my beard, just for a temporary change. The thought of then having to go through the itchy stage again, as it regrows, is enough to make me see sense!

EDIT: Just looked-up Ross Kemp, aka Keep, he's almost exactly the same age as me, within 2 weeks.

I've had a shortish beard for 25+ years, it's been long a couple of times and clean shaven a couple of times.
The first time I went clean shaven my wife didn't notice for 3 days...
She woke up one morning, noticed and then screamed, followed by 'put it back'!

I did Movember once, but a month wasn't enough to do anything decent 'tache wise

I can’t shave, my website and all my social media is under the name “Has Beard, Plays Games”.

What kind of hypocrite would I be if I shaved?!
