Hiked a total of 22.5km yesterday and today, with a total of 660m of ascend. Add to that the walking around in various small towns, I did 35km in two days. Well chuffed.

And tonight we'll celebrate new year's at a country saloon restaurant with live music and meat grilled on an open flame. Czech beers on tap to boot.

I'm a happy man right now.

    My LG OLED died :waah:

But it is awesome because I bought at Costco which gives a 5yr warranty and we are two weeks from its expiry, Costco don't really have a replacement, only a C4, if they don't have what you want as a replacement, which they don't, full cash refund, nice, a little new year win :cooldude:

Now to decide if I go bigger than 65.

Central heating's working again. Wish I could say it was me and my new hairdryer that did the trick, but the truth is temperatures are rising above zero again. At least I have the hairdryer for next time.

Now if I could just get rid of this flu...

2 years teaching them to walk & talk.
Followed by 16 spent telling them to sit down & shut up.
    :p

    Seriously, though - CONGRATULATIONS!

I have an optical drive that works for raw reads again!

    upload_2025-1-14_15-53-19.png

Cheers, @Canon - only just got a chance to throw the slimline adapter in the box (and even then only 'cos my desktop decided to just... stop. Black screen, no keyboard backlight, unresponsive, but the CPU and GPU coolers still lit up like Blackpool illuminations...) but it looks like that drive does raw reads just fine!

@adidan: if you've still got your drive, though, I wouldn't say no to having a spare!

@Gareth Halfacree it's up to you bud, I've just got the one and it won't be going anywhere.

You can either have it now or let me know when you need it. I don't mind either way :thumb:

I finished my favourite 5mm dot grid notebook, and not only did I have a second in the drawer, but I also have two more that I bought a while back when I feared they might be discontinued :hehe:

More tattoos on my left forearm. I'll fill that thing up before I turn 45 (four more years), same for the right forearm.

This time I got one logo from Dead Space and two from Callisto Protocol.

It'll be great meeting Glen Schofield in March, now even more so.

My relationships... Wife, friends with somethings, and this one woman...

    I hold her dear

    Edit:

There has been some acceptance in relation to my nearly confirmed MS: Yehhh... Progressive. Okay. For now I need a cane to get about. Don't like being visibly disabled but that'll follow in due time

Otherwise. Fine. I'm actually ok with this, having a name for it and an explanation as to why I'm so wobbly. Closure. I'd say

I've had a strange life and I'll continue to have strange life until its my time to go

    Decades to go
