Displaying with the WMP SMC club at the NEC again come the end of April and my latest most challlenging piece I've been slogging on for nearly 5 months; the mighty Kyshatriya/Bell Pepper is almost ready.

For a few months I have had tooth ache, not to the point I needed pain killers but still annoying. Anyway I went out on the bike Saturday and it was really cold. After the ride my tooth, face, ear were all throbbing. On Tuesday I had enough and called the Dentist to get it checked, I am NHS so wasn't banking on it being any time soon but I called at 09:20 and I was sat in the chair at 10:10! Full check and X-Rays £27!

Turns out I have a bad Sinus that's affecting the nerves on my top teeth, so now I have to learn how to rinse them.

I had it the other way around for a long time. I was having sinus trouble as a result of an infection on the tip of the root of one my teeth. The infection was pretty dormant as far as bothering the tooth (until it wasn't...) but it was causing issues above it. Then one day the root infection decided to ramp up and pain was all through my face and ear. Got the tooth out (took some work - wonky roots mechanically locked it into the jaw bone, ended up with a lot of bone fragments coming with it) and my sinuses have been fine ever since.

Honestly I was dreading to hear the news if it was the tooth, but he has assured me everything is fine on the X-Rays. Facial nerves are weird but the pharmacist has be using "Avamys" nasal spray. Fingers crossed that will calm things down.

Made it! Despite *both* bags getting flagged at security (for promo items from DFRobot - a Year of the Horse keyring and a USB flash drive shaped like a panda!)

Sat in the airport lounge in Brussels now, gorging myself on free food and booze. On the home stretch now!

The car headlights have "cataract" and have MOT warning, I'm fairly good with mechanics stuff but paint and that kinda of stuff I avoid but I took the plunge with an Autoglym kit (couldn't bothered to buy the stuff separately), it worked well and I didn't fook it up, the headlights are actually clear and not yellow, go me

Out of the operation and back on the ward. Seems to have gone well, not in immediate agony, staff all lovely which had been a big help

Finally got back home, ended up staying the night in hospital as the pharmacy had shut by the time I got back to the ward, so they couldn't issue the morphine prescribed by the anesthetist. Then had to wait for hours for it to be issued this morning, annoying but understandable given what it is. Nerve blockers haven't worn out yet so not sure of the true extent of the pain yet, but better to be safe than in agony

Had a decent night and got some good sleeps in, Mrs crap says I look much better than before the op, but was stressed to the eye balls and that has now lifted to blissful relief. :hehe:

Thank you all for your support.

Nice. Nearly got an MG4 myself - solid little cars, by all accounts. Well… I actually wanted the “X-Power” trim, but the OH wasn’t a fan of the “pointy angular bits”…

It's been a full day today.
    • Started with turning the house upside-down looking for my misplaced driving license & passport (failed :()
    • During the search, find €170 left over from a long weekend in Amsterdam in 2022.
    • Receive email from Lottery - "You've won a prize!" (£99 for 3 numbers)
    • Got to work over 90mins early (flex time cheesecake!) :p
    • Order replacement license from DVLA (£20)
    • Half day at work because CAR!!! (see previous post) :D
    • Dealership even left it plugged in overnight so I have a full charge (280 miles claimed) :)
    • Old car unbound from phone app because I forgot to at the dealership.
@Byron C Point her at the Cyberster GT:- X-Power drivetrain under a 2-seat convertible with electric scissor doors (but £60k).

Oh there’s no need. I already wanted one before I saw in person at the MG dealership; if I was seriously considering actually buying one then my OH’s opinion wouldn’t have mattered .

But unfortunately even I recognise that, fun as it might be, a 2-seater sports roadster as my only car is not practical for carrying stuff and people about…
