That's a great deal! I missed a cellular iPad mini 6 for £200 the other week.

I need the GPS for boat nav and my gen 5 mini is losing battery capacity quietly after 6 years

 

Getting Southern Water to wind their ****ing necks in and credit the £650 charge they put on my account, after claiming it was taken from accurate meter readings and there was nothing to be done but accept a payment plan to clear it down.

I get an email today: "After carefully reviewing your account and water usage over the last three months, we have decided to apply a one of [sic] credit to your account."

Yeah, too ****ing right you have.

They've had three months of me on their customer chat portal - "piss off, digital assistant. Gimme a hooman... Right then, mush, I'll give you a few minutes to catch up on the notes on my account then we'll go another round"

Rinse, repeat.

 

That friends and family are in good health and in high spirits, that the sun is starting to warm.

 

Lol yes, I once ended up a grand in credit with them, I'm not sure how it happened but they just decided to hike my direct debit and somehow I didn't notice for the thick end of a year.

At least when I got through to a human it was a simple case of "no that's not right at all, let me sort this" and not the merry-go-round you're getting.

 

Made an important decision at work on Tuesday...

Book! Friday! Off!

As roughly 1/3 of my commute involves a major holiday route, I decided not doing it on the Friday before a Bank Holiday weekend was worthwhile.
A quick glance at the traffic on Google Maps has already confirmed that I made the correct decision.

Plus, it means I can get multiple 3D prints completed before the printer's 4-colour upgrade kit arrives in a week or so.
