Oh, and my life is more awesome than usual right now because...

My mini is off to have the welding done that it needs to get back on the road. My SSD is up and running beautifully in my computer - lightning fast! My plans to build a PC for my brother to take to uni have come together nicely and parts are starting to arrive. I've finished painting my room and can move everything back in now!

One small downside - I have to be up at 6 tomorrow for work... but they I get to leave at 3.30

 

Just come back from mini moto. Amazing fun.

I can't call them motorcycles though, they don't balance and they suck at cornering, 2 stroke powerbands are epic though!

I may have fallen off four or five times...luckily all low sides with no sliding into things, though I did have a bike hit me in the back because the guy behind me had to bail as I lowsided.

SO MUCH FUN.

 

After 2 weeks of feeling really down and everything seeming to fall apart at my feet, it's all back on track.

Actually have a house for the coming academic year is sorted, student finance is all gravy and I'm actually quite happy

 

Just made it through rush hour on the Brussels metro system with 55kg of luggage and am waiting in the eurostar terminal.

 

Got my SSD to work. OMG.

It feels like going from a 1.2 EcoDiesel to a 5 liter V10 550 BHP Mercedes AMG engine. It's so blistering fast.

My WASD Keyboard v1 just arrived in the mail. My first mechanical keyboard, I got it with Cherry MX Browns and ohhhh my is it ever different from any rubber dome board I've used in the past. I'm really loving how light the keystrokes are, have yet to use it for gaming but I'm pretty excited for it.

Definitely showing me that I need to get better at typing. Never realized how much I don't actually touch type, the etched legends look amazing but they're pretty hard to read in the dark, or in the light for that matter.

 

Phase 1 of the experiment I have running is a resounding success. It's insanely cool to look at.

Phase 2 is ordered and on its way.

And I think I have the full and complete interest of a not-yet-nameable company in my work. It could mean a job even a handicapped man could do.

 

My manager has put me on the fast track for management with included training. Just past the ITIL V3 Foundations course last week.

I have 3 clases so far, don't have to pay for them and I've met a bunch of cute girls.

New job in Dubai is going really well! The crew are awesome and I'm just starting to get used to the heat. Takeaways and petrol are so cheap here that I'm going to end up huge though, expecially as theres no decent climbing gyms.
