After what sounded like rain and thunder last night; I managed to scrape myself up at a humane time and am greeted by wonderful sunshine. I'm finally ready to stop bumming around and actually look for work!

Whether i'll find it is another matter entirely, but I can hope and strive for it all the same!

You live in an area of the country that has the highest level of lightning activity, on average there is 1 strike per km² per year in Northamptonshire, it is only north Derbyshire that has a strike density as high as that. Nottinghamshire is a bit lower with 0.9 and, in general, it decreases the further north you go with the highlands being at about 0.02.

Fun times. Should I start building lightning rods for amusement, then?

Had a phone call last night telling me the delivery guys attempted to load up my TV at the warehouse to deliver it today but they damaged the screen in the process, so they've informed the store and arrange compensation for both me & the store and would load another today to try deliver tomorrow.

Another call followed earlier this afternoon letting me know a cheque is in the post and that my TV is loaded up and fingers crossed it'll be arriving at my house tomorrow.

I'm kind of confused about why I'm getting compensation for a television they broke at the store's warehouse.
Anyone ever had a courier do that before?

Work has approved a spot of leave for my trip to Europe later this year. My fantastically awesome boss is giving me a pile of cash to blow as well.

Also, I awoke 6 hours after a night of heavy drinking with friends with not a trace of a hangover.

    What a day :D

    Nice dude!

    I think I just either secured a deal for a HTC One S or a Iphone 4S..

So much for that 580. But I need something that can actually get a signal. That 3GS is terrible. Or maybe that's just ATT.

My son makes my life awesome, and to say that barely scrapes the surface.

Second to that, but by no means close, is the prospect of buying an air rifle very soon. I'm like a dog with two Richards, seriously. :D

Can't say I know much about the son bit as I have no kids (no plans either) but cool on the air rifle. What are you going for?

I used to shoot a fair bit and still have all my kit but unfortunately just don't have the time to use it any more :(

My first air rifle was a springer, the Air Arms Pro Sport (in .177). It was fun because I was young at the time, but I wanted a precharged rifle and eventually got one - a Daystate X2 - a few years ago. It was a proper beauty, and quite rare too given that it had a custom .20 bore. Really miss it...

Alas, I'm going for a Daystate again... they are very expensive even second hand, but you get what you pay for! Got my eye on an Air Ranger... 300 shots per fill in .22 :eeek:

I've got one of the family cats, Tigger, lying on my windowledge, purring away, happy as can be.

I forget how much I love these animals sometimes.

Shame they all appear to have fleas because someone else on the estate didn't bother to de-flea their cat. Le sigh~ To the vets it is.

The annual price rice by Daystate does make me :eyebrow:, I must say- when I got my Series 500+ ( rebadged AirRanger ) it was ~£840, now you're looking at £700-800 for a used example that's got a few miles on the clock so to speak. That said, you do certainly get your monies worth and they hold value rather well; go for it & enjoy it! :thumb:

I'd like ProSport myself too, now that they come in left handed flavour finally...
