I plan on getting mine going this weekend - I think I'm going to use mine as a tiny web browsing and jukebox computer in our coastal holiday home, which only has one TV and no phone line, but access to our neighbours WiFi (with his permission!) :)

You know those cheesy TV adverts you see for Sure deodorant, Always or Tampax or something where the gorgeous girl with long, dark, shiny hair is walking down the street in a long, flowing, green sleeveless dress, and smiles shyly at some guy she's walking past with her perfect white teeth as she brushes her hair over her ear?

Well, that happened to me today :jawdrop: This girl was absolutely stunning! I don't know who she was, but I think I fell in love for a second... I have no idea why she was smiling at me either - the guy in those adverts is usually extremely handsome and sharply dressed. I was just wearing some Tommy work jeans and a blue UniSys t-shirt

Anyway, I'm not complaining because I'd already been having a good day - this just made it even better! :D

    [edit]

I installed another 6GB of Dominator GT 2000MHz RAM in my second i7 system this evening. Runs like a dream, although admittedly not at full speed. It's still better having double the memory that is running a few hundred megahertz slower than being stuck with a "mere" 6GB though :thumb:

The book i bought in preorder* got cancelled. Why is that a good news ? Well i preordered* the book at lowered price (~$14), but because it got cancelled, i could either get a refund of the price i paid, or exchange for another book. And here comes the good part - i could exchange it for any book from their production without any additional payment, and in their own way to say sorry (that they cancelled the book i bought), i could also choose a second book as an additional gift. So i pretty much got books nearly in $70 value for a cancelled $14 book. Plus of course the last version of the book which got cancelled.

Which company does this ? Manning Publications Co. (yes, i think naming them is a good thing to do, considering how did they handle the situation - the "exchange" thing is a very customer friendly move in my eyes).

*Preorder = MEAP (Manning Early Access Program) = you pay before the book is finished/published, you get updates once per month or few months depending how chapters are added/updated, and once the book is finished you receive your final PDF/epub/mobi, or if you bought a printed version, then they send you the printed version too after it is published.
