New Laptop for the missus arriving today. I know _I_ should probably be less excited than the missus, but I can't wait to start that thing up... an ultabook spec Lenovo U310...

 

Saturday: Concert
Sunday: Girl I was eyeing decides to take the bait and text me
Monday: Beasted test, got an A on Art Paper, talked to girl more
Tuesday: Meh on Humanities paper, but talked to girl more again.

Five days and slowly I'm starting to realize somewhere in my life, I became suddenly attractive. Kinda. It's nice.

 

Or all other people just got uglier.

You'll carry yourself with more assurance and that is what teh laydeez find attractive - confidence (hence why they always go for the "bad boys" who have immense amounts of confidence and something of a F*** Y** attitude) but if you can combine confidence, masculinity and being a gentleman - you'll always win them over in the end

I would love one of those. Lenovos are THE BEST laptops. The only other brand I will consider for a laptop is the HP Elitebook series as they also have the nipple mouse.

 

To make it cooler:
It's not a bright blue or pink one, but a grey one (boring, but looks better).
It came with a free Sleeve and DVI/VGA converter cable
It's THE ONLY one in the country, and ven South Africa has super low quantities of them

Quick impression after all of 5 minutes with it before giving it to the other half: The top (i.e. not the lid, but the place the keypad/trackpad is on) is a bit plasticky. But that's probably because the chicklet style keys remind me of my Macbook, and that's not apples and apples, is it? The lady thought nothing wrong with it.

Also - I have not seen many new gaming rigs, or many SSD specced rigs, but MOTHER OF ALL THAT'S HOLY that thing boots quickly... I have literally never seen anything boot like that...

 

Sold some textbooks that I have no use for, 200 bucks in my pocket now! Got the new Mumford & Sons cd and it is really awesome, had it on repeat for the last 2 days. Monday and Tuesday have passed, so I have from now until Friday to relax, no school or anything

 

First day back doing electronics went well... for somebody that finds electronic principles insanely difficult it went well.

The other electronics lesson was spent researching Raspberry Pi! apparently thats basically one of the mains things the module is based on which is awesome.

still got a cold and cough but im dealing with it

 

My X220 will have 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. It should boot an optimised install of Windows 7 in 30 seconds flat, the same as my 12GB memory, 240GB (120x2) SSD boot drive desktop

 

On the verge of getting these!

That said, life is steadily improving. That girl is definitively interested.

 

This girl I'd been casually seeing turned out to be quite crazy (in the negative sense of the word). Just as I was wondering what I'd done to deserve such a horrible life, she made out with some guy at a bar as "revenge" for me standing her up that night (I was avoiding her). She decided she likes said guy and has told me not to call her anymore.

Bullet. Dodged.
