Other What currently makes your life awesome?

Despite a hectic rush to the finish line consisting of several weeks of extra looooong days, I got all of the majorly urgent work that needed to be done before Christmas finished this week. I left the last customer at 1 this morning, got home and straight into bed at 2, got up at 10 this morning, lazed around for an hour, then went and did all of my Christmas shopping from 11-4. I got home around 5 with some goodies in the boot for myself as well (see L.P. Thread!)

So in short, I win!

 

New years eve plans!

It will probebly be the first time in a while i will be with all my friends in one place (hopefully)

There is a pretty famous street party where i live and anything from 6-10k people come (guess the place win a cookie) made plans for costumes it should be alot of fun.

Reflecting on last night im pretty happy with how i acted, i have been told that this girl is into me.. it would be very easy to just ask her out and see what she says.

Instead i started conversation and it went on for over 2 hours unaided (i did'nt have to start it up she was the one keeping it going) its the only time i've spoken to her on facebook chat and for more than 5 minutes... im left somewhat on a knife edge, ill keep it cool and possibly given the oppurtunity ask her to join us new years eve as made clear her friends are being douches.

If their wrong, i just made a closer friend than i would have if i did'nt do anything

We will see

 

Hopefully that deal with some cheap graphics cards might come through. If not well, I still have Psychonauts and perhaps a chance with a girl I was way too much of a coward to make a move on all these times.

I wish I had a few more days off. But I can't complain.

 

I wish this bottle would last forever! I don't know what it is but it always feels much more special drinking this at christmas.

 

I dont know exactly what it is, but I cannot stand JD thesedays.. I'd rather have a cheaper Scotch blend, like Bells or Grouse.. I love bourbon and everything, but something about the taste of JD just turns my stomach thesedays.

 

Probably a bad experience. Southern Comfort kills me, even just the smell

Im exactly the same dude... i have a bottle and JD and coke was horrible to me...

It sucked becaused it was purchased especially... unfortunately last time i had it i must have been really drunk..

My christmas was really fun, kids and presents really brought the festive spirit back

 

On the alcohol theme.... I had four Islays last night, only one of which I did not like. Was a good night.

EDIT: For the curious: the unspectacular dram was Bowmore Enigma (tasted a bit sickly-sweet). The other three were a Caol Ila 12 (fairly standard Islay, not pushing the envelope or taking risks), Lagavullin 16 (less peaty than I'd like and indeed expect from an Islay, but more than drinkable), and the star of the show was a Laphroaig Quarter Cask, which is apparently younger and cheaper than any of its stablemates but packs a proper wallop of peat, but is nicely balanced by a shedload of other flavours lurking in the background, that just pop up one by one to surprise you.

Next on my list to find and try is Ardbeg Supernova. There has GOT to be a bottle or two still in circulation and I'll be damned if I don't get me some of that action.
