What he said :eyebrow: They're simpler to dismantle than some Windows based laptops as long as you're not a complete n00b with tools in your hands

Sorry :worried:, I was always under the impression that they were a nightmare to strip down with Apple doing everything they could to make it was hard as possible. I probably read to many Mac hater posts, might look into getting a new back and screen for my iPhone next if they are THAT easy to do. :dremel:

Normal Torx are 6-pointed, Apple use "pentalobe" (lit: 5-eared). See Wikipedia.

This time last year I bought web hosting and a domain, now I did set it to not auto renew and as an idiot I ignored it.

I checked my email today the day of renewal and guess what he had been renewed. The most expensive part of it not the domain but the hosting. So I went on a cancelling spree on Godaddy. Removed my card details and everything.

I also called them, which may be the pitful and the plan all along with Godaddy. Make a customer call them in America which is what I did from my mobile. A six minutes being on hold and one minute conversation.

I got issued a refund by GoDaddy as I had cancelled by renewal/plan etc

    Thank god.

After all this talk of facial hair, there should be a Bit-Tech bears group with pictures of said growths......

The colder it gets, the more beards I see.

Had a shave this morning and its not hurting currently... still need to get some money to buy the safety razor stuff

Playing it cool is also making my life awesome, i was on the cusp of asking this girl out just because everybody had seen the signals so its not like i was reading it wrong, and she has currently gone cold on me... she is on facebook just not replying to the last message on her wall.

This happened a few times since we have started speaking so im not really sure what to expect usually i'll get a message from her soon trying to start something up again

Either way its nice not to be thinking too far into it

Increasing my fitness pretty rapidly - finished 12 sessions of cardiac rehab (Circuit training) and now going to gym - 30 mins max attack on a exercise bike and 5 min cool down.

Last nights effort = 16.18km (Just a tad over 10 miles)

Tonights effort in the same amount of time = 18.21km

Think in a month or so I *Should* be up to around 20km in 30 mins and then I'll work towards 22km - I'm not Bradley Wiggins by any stretch of the imagination but given I've not done any structured exercise for years and years I think I can be pretty happy with my progress :D

Pranged my car last week - totally my fault for being a bit of an idiot and driving into the back of someone at about 7mph. Busted headlamp on my car and some minor bumper damage to mine (front) and his (rear) - gone through insurance and ........

it's a Cat D write off which means....

    I keep it...

It's still road legal, just needs a new headlamp unit

    I pay them nothing...

    They GIVE me £510

And I keep ALL my no claims (9 years) and the protection for the no claims.......

I do have a small increase in premium of £7.50 month but it had already gone down by £22 so I'm 12x£15 plus £510 up!

Erm........ am I missing something here????

Stoopid mistake on my part results in WIN!

Probably means that if you prang it again, they won't pay out anything whatever the cost of repairs might be.

    Not guilty until proven.

Doesn't matter what the police believe, if it can't be proven in court.

Oh they would as my policy carries on as per usual with FULLY COMP cover ........ am still scratching my head about this, I screw up and they give me money and the car is only superficially damaged (Bonnet opens and closes normally, radiator not pranged, car drives/steers/stops normally), yes the headlamp will cost £200 for the same one that I have but that still leaves me £300 + lower premiums than last year despite this.....

Feeling pretty good right now and settlement should hit my account in a few days so I can order the headlight and get it fixed

Protected no claims is usually limited by time period. So, next time you may lose your no claims depending on your cover.

Indeed - this is true but it only seems to apply to a single insurer, if you prang your car and keep your insurer for say another year out of courtesy, then move to another insurer the counter of claims for that insurer is zero and you have your no claims from previous insurer!

This was told to me this morning by an actual english lady in the total loss department of covea insurance up in halifax, she may of course have been yapping out of an unmentionable orifice but I'm the beneficiary of this very thing so I of course am not going to complain.

She was of course lightly stunned when i asked all the "do i keep my no claims/protection/will I keep fully comp insurance?" questions and she had to answer yes to every single one - almost as stunned as me - I have exactly the right insurance policy at exactly the right time and they've been absolutely no quibble about anything.

Awesome insurance policy is awesome :rock:
