I am sitting here chilling listening to some of my favourite songs. Have been in a pissy mood all day to be honest. Needed to do this earlier.

 

Just found out last night that my second short story is being published, and they have asked for the synopsis of a novella based around the 5 total short stories I have submitted. This author lark is finally taking off.

 

Its from last night but.

Having just got back from a 2 hour gym session (Spin to start followed by a circuits) I came home to find my Fiancee asleep. But I also found that she'd run me a bath to soak in and left me a shoulder of pulled pork for dinner, which was just awesome.

 

Delayed awesome from the weekend's wilderness escape, sat at the top of a mountain as the sun set waiting for the city lights to show but got a little extra as people started setting off leftover fireworks.

Look the other direction and the city lights are from Canada. No fireworks, but that never gets old to me.

 

Last night my fileserver OS drive bit the dust (as posted in ruining thread)
This evening, I replaced it with a spare SSD, installed a fresh OS & configured everything back how it was.

tl;dr: server happy == me happy

 

Well my trains were all cancelled/delayed this morning so my boss told me to take the day off. Off to an impromptu barbecue in the park with some mates instead

 

I'm listening to Disney. Oh yes. Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride is epic.

Physio's going well and it looks like I'll be able to tramp around Zhukovsky by the time MAKS rolls around. On the down side, I can't dance at my friend's engagement party this weekend.

Yes, that is me firing an AK74. Without the folding stock. And yes, I hit my target. At least once. Recoil doesn't get bad until the tenth shot or so. It's really rather different than shooting my shotgun or my wife's Marlin .22 rifle. Gas suppression is a strange feeling. Single shots were accurate as hell though.

 

Yup definitively a girlfriend.

After smoking for about twenty years, my 1,5-2 packs a day habit has ended (for now). Going on e-cigs and had a normal smoke (well, one third of it) on monday and it tasted like s***.

Zero cravings for normal smokes.
