Chilli was epic! Empty plates all round, it does however look like we will be eating it for the foreseeable future, i made waaaaaaay to much.

Niiice!Quite rare to find IT being given more space. We don't even have a workshop anymore on our main site *My aching balls*

The one that means the government take a sh*t-load of my hard-earned cash every month. Urgh. Oh - hang on, this is the awesome thread. The one that means that we can have cool roads and hospitals and sh*t.

Off to work, then 10 days off. I49 the weekend. Which will be fun too. Not stopping the weekend but travel is cheap as I live up the road.

It should be on your payslip.

Only reason I queried it was because a friend who is in exactly the same position as me, housing wise etc is on a much higher one. I was on a 430L, which means I can earn roughly £4300 tax free, which is nothing. I think it's because I was a student last year and it hadn't updated.

I'm now on something more realistic :)

Awesome NIN gig last night (have keyed the setlist into Spotify now, barr one song that I can't find) On Friday, I get to go to the National Airsoft Event and give my AUG a long overdue run.

No work either for the rest of the week - I also managed to fix a problem application that's been bugging me for a week or two today, so that's no longer hanging over me. Pretty damn mighty week

Last day at work before 2 weeks off.

Tomorrow I pack, then spend Sat/Sun/Mon at Oulton Park for the Gold Cup before jetting off to Texas for LoneStarCon 3 (This year's Worldcon).

My new GTX 670. Quite the upgrade from a GTX 560ti.

Just got a soundcard. I know people always tell you it makes a big difference coming from onboard, but OMG... :jawdrop::eeek:

I put off getting a sound card for years until just a couple of years ago when I put a Xonar in my main rig. The difference was unbelievable!

Gunny, if you're looking for recommendations (although somehow I'm sure you have one already) I have a D2X in both of mine now and it's immense for gaming and music. I was still using onboard in the office workstation until last week but I'm so glad I picked up another D2X for it. I only ever listen to music and watch YouTube vids on it, but the onboard was terrible compared to the D2X in my other machine and I got tired of having to make do with inferior audio quality on one PC when the other sounded so good.

I picked up a bargain on the Creative Recon3D PCI-E (£35) but I wouldn't pay the RRP for it, a Xonar would be better :)

My sister has been very sick (I posted in the "what's ruining your life" thread) recently but she's doing much better today. The docs say she won't need a transfusion and she's talking and laughing after almost a week.

    I'm just really happy.
