Being in Severodvinsk is like going back in time to Soviet Russia. Which suits me just fine :thumb:

Also, having a bushy beard and bright blue turban apparently makes Russian girls go crazy. Also, the Indian accent is hot? WHAT THE EFF? :eyebrow:

Have you seen your average Russian manly man? Big bushy beard and huge furry hat, you ain't a million miles away buddy ;)

As for the accent, no idea, can't say that Indian men do much for me...

Out of interest, are you speaking Russian with an Indian accent, or English?

Whatever the answer, I'm sure they are grateful for the variety from the monotony of life in a Soviet-era city suffering from massive population decline...

    You might appreciate this:
A mate of mine (from Namibia, Afrikaans as mothertounge) spent close to a year in Canada at some point. He came back speaking English with a weird hybrid accent (half "aboot"-Canadian, and half Afrikaans), and Afrikaans with a Canadian accent... that was properly weird.

I's like when you meet any non-Caucasian with a thick Geordie accent - it can take you by surprise but is strangely awesome. :thumb:

I can't get my brain around the notion of an Indian accent on the Russian language..

I love having friends that love Soviet Russia.

Sounds like Stoned could be getting in. :D

Edit: And I just found out I'm going to see Manic Street Preachers on my birthday. I'm absolutely buzzing!

Most of them can't get a beard going to save their lives.
I should hope not, assuming you're a bloke!
    Not in a million years!
Russian almost as a native. I'm very good with languages. But I meant when I speak english, I speak with an indian accent - not the comical "Mind Your Language" or Russel Peters nonsense, but, yknow... there's an accent.

    :hehe: probably!

    Weird is the word!

Like I said, I can rock a pretty neutral accent with my Russian, but there's a chap traveling with us who's Indian and speaks Russian with a pretty heavy Indian accent. It's a thing that must be heard to be believed.

    Dude! Good show :thumb:

Sort-of related, the funniest thing i've ever heard/seen was a friend of mine, who had quite a strong Lancashire area accent, trying to read The Blaydon Races out loud... Hell anyone not from the area...

Got my new glasses. They weigh nothing and block a ton of available light (I have some form of day blindness)though they're certainly getting thicker. Apparently finding that I had astigmatism too helps me get better glasses than I've ever had.

My paternal family are all from northumbria (whitley bay, morpeth, and forest hall). My maternal family are all from south yorkshire (barnsley). I am from North lancashire/south cumbria, and i can't make it through blaydon races. My nan who still has a geordie accent thinks this is hilarious :) Our family get togethers sound amazing too.
