Puns aside; it's actually pretty good work. Not really intellectually challenging, (Pick up Box/Mail Bag. Read Label/Tag, Place into appropriate cage for Tag ID or First two letters of Postcode, next box/bag.)

But it is work, so I'll not complain too much, May do some overtime closer to christmas, though, since the people who have worked the Christmas Casual before have told me it gets hectic the week before Chrimbo.

Met one of THE internet pioneers today, *name redacted* (aka the guy who worked out websites could be stored in databases about 6 months before the rest of the world), to talk about something I'm working on (remember that survey thread?). Turns out it might have some legs after all.

Mindblowing and inspiring to meet the guy, loved every minute and I even held my own. Massive grins right now! :D

Got let out of work Early, but I'm still getting paid for the full amount of time. There wasn't much in the way of work at the Daventry site, so we absolutely burnt through it all and then got to leave early.

Got my system ready for fluid, sans one cable replacement, which is already ordered. Now to wait on a response about fluid.

Sepnt an hour trying to sort out email service, issues with sending an email to a specific person. problem her end not mine.

Then got to chat to a very important person at a well known anti virus company. Now to do some video recording, once I am home alone anyway.

Going out later to get absolutely steaming with a bunch of good mates as it is my 20th today.

Has been quite a long time since I last went out, should be a good night.

Was the last time you were out that time you were waiting for a mate?

    Yes... yes it was.

Was waiting in the car for my mate James and then the police just showed up and said I had been in an accident...

( I see what you did there )

Our family dog Geordie has been having problems with his joints for a while, it's common with big dogs I think, and last week he had to visit the vet because one leg was causing him pain and he wasn't walking on it. The vet said there was a possibility that he had a bone tumour, it was a worst case scenario, but it worried us because it wouldn't be something they could treat.

He went back today to have the leg x-rayed. He had to be anaesthetised for the x-rays and if they'd found a tumour they would have put him to sleep while he was under. Thankfully they didn't find one.

Something's still wrong, the x-rays have now been sent to a specialist, but whatever it is should be treatable so it's a huge relief.

Here are a few pics of him. He's a cross between a Labrador and a Great Dane.

This is him sitting on my dad's lap, as you can see he's very vicious :D

And here are a couple of him on the broads a couple of years ago. He loves boats.

I think my parents plan to take him again next year, all being well :)
