It is nice to know people who know people.

Got three potential apartments to see, all free at the moment. Usually the wait time is 6-36 months.

Nothing like a great curry when you're skint. Every mouthful is heaven, like you're swallowing hard won gold.

Nothing like a good curry, skint or not, similarly a *good* Chinese meal...

In short, good tasty food, properly made = the win... take your bland chemical-filled microwave meals and burn 'em...

That has got me wanting a decent Chinese spread now... and I'm skint... bugger...

making progress all over with work.
Also, finally starting wedding plans for real. Wedding dress deposit being paid this week, court date being set, venue bookings, etc.

Trying to remain positive with no luck on the job search side. Decided my Sony MDR-ZX700's have been sitting too long in a drawer so I decided to set up my front panel audio so I could use them for music. My creative headset gets the job done for gaming but its just too bass heavy for music. Much happier with the sony headphones for music listening.

Edit: Much better sound insulation, so I don't hear my blue's clacking away! Woo!

Double Edit: After listening to a few things and switching back and forth, I am THOROUGHLY enjoying the headphones over the headset.

haha. Thanks, mate. Still some ways off (July), but planning needs to happen sooner rather than later. Especially considering a million dietary requirements and allergies to all things churches from my other half's side.

    My life?
I managed to contain the bitching bunch of hags that is the committee of the SPCA around here last night, and cut meeting times in half. Also - got things done on that side.

Drinking Port on a school night and now about to give my bank account a hammering buying a new computing device, TV and whatever else grabs my attention and fancy.

Nope - I'm not succumbing to the lure of pished shopping, these are planned purchases

Starting to really enjoy my HD518s for music. They are super comfortable and sound great.

My reaction to something incredibly small and meaningless.

A single mod to adjust the memory Skyrim uses. Although it's a 'modern' game, it uses a 32bit executable, the memory you can use is locked at 3.1GB. That's fine for most people, but if you have 200 mods, mostly high res graphics, it gets used very quickly. I can run around and play for hours without a single crash; I don't remember the last time I was able to do that.

That's the problem I am getting playing New Vegas. I have to keep things turned down a little to avoid crashing.

Decided to text a "friend" who I haven't talked to since a fallout at Halloween. Now we're playing basketball later this week, everything is cool, and I built a pc for his brother. On top of that, I told em I'd do it for $100 and they gave me $150. They trust my opinion and they've called me numerous times in the past for viruses and such so apparently I've earned it. The extra $50 will go towards alcohol and I'll have a little party with them to get reacquainted.

It appears my search for a decent bass amp is finally over. It'll also involve me painstakingly individually wiring up a valve kit and building my own cabinets should I desire. Suffice to say I'm very much looking forward to it.

http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/51670/? Use this. IT's a different mod, but a good one. It adjusts your memory. It also eliminates some of the terrible problems the gamebryo engine has; might be worth a try.
